Bhai I have not met even a Bajjar Gujjars and I belong to Nagara Branch of Gujjars which is the supposed to be a branch of Varajjara ( Bajjar ) as per the Gwalior inscription. That does not make me less Gujjar and I am proud Gujjar as you are. Also that does not confirm that Solankis are not Gujjars.
Solanki Gotra is found in Gujarat and many people might have adpted the surname of their branches since Solanki is more than 2500 year old gotra of Gujjars.
Also Pratihar is not used today by many people.
If you want to meet the Gujjar Solankis, Gujjar Parmars, Gujjar Chauhans and Gujjar Pratihars you may visit the village in Rajashtan where God Dev Narayan was born and you can the Gujjars of all the four Gotras living there in a single village. This village falls in Asind in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.I have personally visited the place myself many times and met Gujjar people. I can not say whether it falls within 500 kilimeters range within Delhi or not as the parameter set by you for being a real Gujjar.

In Haryana and Delhi the Gujjar used Nagar Gotra which is same as Bajjar. After Punjab towards Afghanistan including Afghanistan the Bajjar Gotra is more popular. Even Pratihar seems to belong to the same group since Jai Pal ( called a Shahi king in history) was great grand son of Samrat Mihir Bhoja Mahan. He was son Mahipal ( also known as KshtiPal) and his inscription is found in Bari Kot. He founded Vijirsthan ( Varajara+Sthan in NWFP area. That confirms that Nagara, Varajjara and Pratihars are Gujjar Gotras of the same main Branch. Also the same Jaipal is written as Khatana at many palces and that confirms that all these sub branches must belong to Khatana Branch of Gujjar Kushans.

While reading Kushan inscription the Indian historians could find who are Vokkana ( Bokkana, Boken, Bokan) and closed the chapter forever and thus killed the Gujjar History. Similarly reading Gwalior inscription the Indian historians ( Dr. CV Vaidya) claimed that there no clan like Nagara of Varajjara family. He killed the issue and the Gujjar history forever that Jaibhatta Nagara ( Nagar a Gujjar Gotra) Varajjara ( Bajar a Gujjar Gotra) are not found in India and this should a name like Nagarabhatta.See the following news toady to confirm that both these Gotras belong to Gujjars to Which Kaniska the Great (Gujjar Kushana )and Samarat Mihir Bhoja Mahan ( of Gujjar Pratihar Gotra) belonged. News: World Presence of rare wild animals & birds in J&K attracts travelers from all over the world by Vijay Kumar December 21, 2009 Jammu,December 21(Vijay Kumar) -: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on Monday ....................... (5) Gujarat is named after and by the Solangi Gujjars. (6) There are so many solid hostorical proofs about the Gujjar origin of Solangis. You can find Gujjar of any subcastes In NWFP,Pakistan because this area was saved from the English history. Even Thakur and Jat are subcastes of Gujjars in this area.I have met personaly to a Gujjar of Jat subcaste. Both are mainly found in the districts of Mansehra,Swat and Dir.

Gujjar Brothers, There are so many solid hostorical proofs about the Gujjar origin of Solangis. This is very good piece of information. Nomad Gujjars of Uttaranchal, Kashmir, Pakistan and Afghanistan are less influenced by the invaders. There culture is pure Gujjar Culture of the our Imperial days and they have the original Gujjar ruling clans. There houses called as Gujjar Deras are Temporary Military Shelters of 8th. and 9th. Century Gujjar Army and can be made by these Gujjars within no time and are capable of giving shelter from all kind of whethers. They used to carry their livestock like Buffalos to keep the regular supply of Milk which is considered a comlete food to these Gujjar armies for a very long postings on the Borders. Regarding Huna and Jat I believe, to the best of my knowledge, that these are original clans of Gujjars. Hun ( White Hun or Hephtahalites) are one of the main branch of Gujjars some 2500 years ago. The Others were Kushan, Khatana,Bokkan and Chechi. The Huns and Jats who came along the main Gujjar Tribe (The Hreat Yueachi of Chinese Annals) treated as Gujjars Gotras today. The Huns and Jats groups who came at later stage some 500 or 700 years later are treated as different Group than Gyjjars today.

According to Chinese Annals the Gujjars ( The Yuechis or Yuezhies) were divided in two group some 400 years before Christ Era which are described in chinese history as follows: 1. Da Yeuchi ( The Great Yuechi) 2. Shau Yuechi ( The Little Yuechi)
As per chinese history the word 'Da' is used for the people were formed a potential threat to chinese Empire. The word Shau was used for the Group which could pose a little threat to Chinese Empire.
in the year 500BC this complete Group of Gujjars is described to have some 2,50,000 archers most capable to fight as horse riders having more than twice the number of Horses than this figure. Shau Yeuchis are left only with 2500 families that time and described a living on the side of famous wall of China which was built by the China to protect them from the Monglos (Hignu tribe or Red Huns) after the Gujjars, the Da Yeachi left the place.
This small group of Gujjars and some left out Great group of Gujjars who invaded kabul at later stage are described as Huns ( White Huns ) in History. The group which came along with the main group with Gujjars are the Hun Gotra of Gujjars whereas the left group formed a separate identity than Gujjars. Similar is the case of Jats which are described as Yetha of chinese Annals. As per the chinese history, Yetha was the name of Gujjar leader who declared himself as King and his descendents are called as Yetha, probably the present day Jats.
