Sisodias were a branch of
Guhils (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guhila ), which was a subclan of
Maitriks (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maitraka )
Which again was a sub-clan of Chap Gujjars. Maitrik Dynasty was founded by a CHap Gurjar "Senapati Bhattarak" at Vallabhi, who was serving Gurjar King of Malwa "Yasodharman" (who defeated the Huns) as his army chief.
Now chap or Chapotkarsht (best in Archery) were a branch of White Huns which later became hostile to them. As per my studies, Chap were a branch of Tomar Huns, Which was ruled by Tuar-Han, or Tuar-Man (Han or Hun or Khan or Man is one and the same thing).
Now if you want to know the Rajput connection of Guhils then please read the following article:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bappa_RawalIt says:
An interesting footnote to this legend of potential virility is that Bappa Rawal is said to have married many women, and sired well over one hundred children.
It again proves that the ancient Gujjar Branches namely Kushan, Khatan (kushans of Khotan), Chechi or yuhechi or kuchi(Chinese name for Gujjars or kushans, bargat, Gorsi (Mid Asian pronunciation for the word Gujar), were all inter related and originated from the word Gujar as there were many pronunciations and many phonetic rules in ancient times.
1. Gujar > Kujar > Kusar > Kusan >
Kushan2. Kushan > Kushans from Khotan were called
Khutane Gujar > Guchi > GYuchi > Yuchi
3. Gujar > Kuchi >
Chechi4. Gujar > Gurjar > Gorjar > Gorsar > Gorse >
Gorsi5.
Bargat were called Half Gujjars due to some unclear reason.
You can still find the many mid asian tribes using above conversions (i.e. Kujar, Kusan, Kuchi Gojar etc.).
The later Yuchee tribes (Red huns or Chionites or Kidarites or Kushanshahs) who entered India in 4th Century were also the offshoots of Kushans. Similarly the White Huns (or Shweta Huns) who came in two groups one with Chhu-Han (Pls Note that the last Kushan Rule's name was Chhu) and the other with Toor-Man were also related to Kushans by blood. Part of these later Yuchees Rules India as Pratihars, Chuhans, Pawars and Solankis They were the real ancestors of Today's Rajputs. That's why their surnames are similar to those of Rajputs.
The five initial branches mentioned above do not share any surname with either Jats or Rajputs.
We Need more research on these facts. My respected brother AP Singh ji might help.
