Former actor of Haryanavi films, Kanhaiya Lal Gujjar, 60, who was called the Vinod Khanna of Haryana, was stabbed to death at his house here on Wednesday night.
Robbers allegedly slit his throat and decamped with his gold chain, rings and bracelet when he was alone at his house. Members of his family were reportedly in another adjoining house at the time of the incident. Gujjar's elder son Janak came to know about the alleged murder when he reportedly came to serve tea to his father early on Thursday morning.
The actor was in real estate business. Police registered a murder case and was on the lookout for the accused.

इस वीर गुर्जर जाति मे अनेकों महापुरुषों ने जन्म लिया, गायत्री माता, जो ब्रह्मा जी की अर्धांग्नी रही, नन्द बाबा, जो भगवान कृष्णा के पालक-पोषक रहे, राधा जैसी गुर्जरी जो भगवान् कृष्णा की संगिनी रही, सवाई भोज जैसे वीर पैदा हुए, जिन्होंने अपने वचनों के लिए रानी जयन्ती को अपना शीष काट के दे दिया, साडू माता जैसी गुर्जरी पैदा हुई, भगवान् देव नारायण ने कमल पुष्प में अवतार लिया और साडू माता की झोली में आकर खेले, पन्ना धाय जैसी वीरांगना पैदा हुई, जिसने अपने बेटे चन्दन का बलिदान देकर उदय सिंह के प्राण बचाए, विजय सिंह पथिक जैसे क्रांतिकारी नेता हुए, जो राजा-महाराजा किसानो को लूटा करते थे, उनके खिलाफ आँदोलन चलाकर उन्होंने किसानो को मजबूत किया, धन सिंह जी कोतवाल हुए, जिन्होंने सबसे पहले मेरठ में अंग्रेजों से लड़ने का विगुल बजाया, सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल जैसा महापुरुष पैदा हुआ, जिन्होंने पूरे देश के राजा-महाराजो की विरासत को एक करके नवभारत का निर्माण किया।
इस देश की रक्षा के लिए इस वीर गुर्जर जाति ने लाखो बच्चो की कुर्बानियाँ दी थी, अंग्रेजों की नाक में नकेल कसने वाले गुर्जरों को अंग्रेजों ने क्रिमिनल ट्राइब (यानी बदमाश समुदाय) कह कर पुकारा था। इसलिए उस वक़्त अंग्रेज़ों की सरकार ने गुर्जरों को बागी घोषित कर दिया था, इसी वजह से गुर्जर जंगलों और पहाड़ों में रहने लगे, और इसी वजह से गुर्जर पढाई-लिखाई से वंचित रह गये।

Many Congratulation to Sudesh Adhana for bagging the best Choreographer Award for "Bismil "song from movie Haider. Walt Disney India's unit UTV Motion Pictures saw its title Haider – director Vishal Bharadwaj's take on Hamlet – winning awards for best costume (Dolly Ahluvalia), best music and dialog (Bharadwaj), best male playback singer (Sukhvinder Singh) and best choreography (Sudesh Adhana).
