Gujjars, Indian police is very active to kill gujjars but their enemies like baboo ram gadaria,thakur jeevan kumar parihar are still alive,Indian TV channels and film makers always neglect to make films on Gujjars,Gujjar culture and Gujjar heros,Indian historians still following muslim and british historians writing their history in the account of other castes like rajputs etc.Even Indian religious political parties like BJP,RSS,Vishav Hindu Praishad,Bajrang Dal etc also have done nothing for gujjars than what's other option they have except to become criminals? Its true that criminals are always proud symbol for our community because they always call themselves clearly Gujjar and because we have highest quality of criminals so we are called so brave.It will hurt A.P.singh and so cold highly educted members of our community but we have only the name of these criminals in bravery because no bodyelse thinks that we have to proud when they study about rajputs and watch their rajput movies and plays on TV.We not ever see that why a Gujjar become criminal.Its only a reaction against injutice and as every body knows Gujjars hotblood never ever bear any kind of injustice and cruelity.Then he implements his own law "GUJJAR KA KANOON" on society and than he is liked publically and calLed" GUJJAR BADSHAH".And this thing always painful to highly educated Gujjar like AP Singh that why they are proud on these criminals and why they are so proud on their outclass bravery.They think they have to proud on rajput history and have to hide their caste like them.If I am wrong then why we have not write a single word about them.On the behalf of them we are still remained and cosidrerd as brave caste and enjoying the status of VESHSI GUJJAR and are commonly called GUJJAR BADSHAH.They are our heros we have to write about them in this thread because we cannot enjoy word rajput as APSingh says.We are Gujjars and only can enjoy Gujjar word even this word being used as a part of the name of a criminal. In other communities there are badmash but its only because of them every GUJJAR is considered as badmash and people are always afraid of them. Whenever Gujjar comes in fighting mood certainly a voice comes "here Gujjar comes run".Is this because of highly educated Gujjars or from love bird of rajputs APSingh.

You have probably understood me wrong. I am no love bird of Rajputs but that is also a reality that the Rajputs sharing gotras with us are our genetic brothers. In India there are many films based on the Gujjar heros. The hero in real life of film film Border is retired Brigadier Kuldip Singh Chandpuri, a Gujjar. In Reel life the role is played by Sunny Deal a Jat.

The Villain of film Sholay, Gabbar Singh was in real life a dacoit Gabbar Singh. Also the Hero Veeru which is played in reel life by Dharmenrda a Jat was in real life a Gujjar Mohar Singh. You must have read a lot about Gujjar Dacoit Nirbhay Singh who is not shown in good image by the media. He was a spoilt man since his father died in his childhood and I have seen his sisters on TV and they it was clear from their appearance that she was from a well respected and cultured family. The reason for Malkahn Singh becoming a dacoit that his energy and bravery was not controlled and it went towards a wrong direction since he lost his father at very early age and there was no body who could control him.

The same was the case with Rajesh Pilot who also lost his father at an early age but his enery and courage were controlled he became a fighter pilot and later a well respected national political leader.

Mohar Singh is considered the Kings of dacoits and his gang had more than 400 dacoits. The prize money on his head was 4 lakhs in seventies when value of Indian rupees must have been atleast twenty times of what it is at present. Also Mohar Singh was a man of Character and he never had any woman member in his gang. The Tahkur Dacoit Malkhan Singh was a petty labourer to carry food on his head in his gang and this fact was revealed to the press by Mohar Singh himself at a time when Malkahn Singh was ruling the ravines. The timing of revealing the fact itself shows that Mohar Singh remained the real hero of the ravines even after his surrender and nobody could dare to touch him.
Once I hired a taxi from Gwalior to Kanpur and the taxi driver was Tanwar Rajput from that region. He had a great respect for Mohar Singh (a Gujjarof Pratihar Gotra). He told us that if a Lion and Mohar Singh want to drink the water from the nearby Chambal River, it is the lion who has to leave to make way for the Gujjar sher Mohar Singh.
This rajput driver also told us that once the members of Mohar Singh's gang caught the son and daughter of a Brahmin dacoit who was his bitter enemy. When they were brought in front of Mohar Singh the son started getting wet in his trouser out of fear but you know what Mohar Singh did? He told the son of the brahmin dacoit that he is like son and his enmity is with his father not with his children. Mohar Singh not only freed both of them to saftey but also gave money ( called Bhent in local language) to the daughter of the his enemy a Brahmin in this case since she was coming from her in law's place to visit her father.

Mohar Singh surrendered later in front of Jai Prakash Narayan a respected social activist and presently living a peaceful life and at present is the Mayor of Mehsana town.

Mohar Singh was so popular in media that you type Mohar Singh and dacoit together and you will hit many websites having information about him.

So my only suggestion was that to educate the Gujjars so that their strong Character ( The Gujjars are considered of very strong character), infinite energy and uncomparable courage can be rightly directed to make them like Rajesh Pilot and Sardar Patel and not like Nirbhay Singh.

A.P.SINGH, If we are sharing some same subcastes with gujjar community than it not means that we are same.If it is a proof than what 's about the other communities who are sharing the same subcaste like jats and others even in lower castes like nai,mochi,teli,dhobi,kumhar etc.A khastria is only considered as khastria when his mother is also a khastria.If his mother is not a khastria than he will be concidered from his mother caste but his subcaste will be same as his father"s subcaste.kirti pal rajput is a clear example of this whose father was a khastria Gujjar king of Gujjrat and her mother was from vaish community,he was awarded a jagir from his father.Manoo Shastar can help you understand the caste system.After defeat when Gujjar's moves out from civilised ares these kind of jagirdars helped the muslim rulers to make them rule strongly and also get jagirs from them.Now what is the difference between kanjars and them?They can hero of yours but not to any gujjar khastria or a pariotic person.They were never freedom fighters ,they even did not fight with british.One's britiish army faught with marathas in favour of the rajputs of udaipur because marathas always like to looted the rajput states.There fights to mughals were only just as a strike of labours against mill owner in which gujjars always sided them.Rana sanga's fight was not to save the contry.He invited babar because he was dreaming to rule all over India.(note:mewaties who sided him were meos because mewati term is always used for meos)Gujjar sided him only in favour of their country.Rana pratap was just following his father because he had no other choice.His fater adopted the title of Rana after defeating the partihar Gujjar Rana of Mandor.His father was a rajput of Ursi Gujjar whom loved his mother in corn field.This tradition is told by rajputs of udaipur themselves which is writen in Annals and antiques of rajasthan by col Tod. It not means that every rajput is like that because after getting defeat when Gujjars moves away from cities to far places,these kind of persons of lower communities after getting power connected their pedigrees to Royal Gujjar houses and adopting the same subcaste was first step towards it.So my rajput loving brother british foreign origin theory is for only to adjust rajputs in history.Their own historian Mr.Ojha admits that rajput came into being as a community in the time of mughal rule or a little bit before and there was no area on the name of them before the arrival of british present rajputana was named by them.We cant give any kind of apology to them.If any Gujjar had crime done like this he is also not from one of us.Is it not tragedy that the criminals (rajput)of this contry were writen as ranas and the real Ranas(Gujjars)were writen as criminals.I am writing and felling as i am talking to the tanwar rajput taxi driver whose claim is to be decendt of Anang Pal Tomar who built GUJRI MAHAL at gwalior.If a tanwar can built a gujri mahal for his Gujjar wife than why cant all tanwar rajputs never built a rajputni mahal for his wife.They are nuts and their claims are also nuts and the persons who love them are great historians like youy.Now a days every Gujjar is enjoyong play"Prithivi Raj Chohan" as rajput on star plus channel .Now tell verbally to 100 crore population to take rajput as Gujjar word BECAUSE IT IS THE SAME SUBCASTE AMONG GUJJARS AND RAJPUTS.

Your logic regarding Gujari mahal is right. The history is written wrong and word Rajput is added by the Britishers only which is not found in any book written by the invaders. Tanwars are Gujjars only and were in service of Gujjar Pratihars for very long period. Delhi was founded by Gujjar tanwars in 736 AD as Dhillika as a fuedatory king of the Gujjar Pratihar Emperors. The Tanwars were the rulers of Delhi till they were ousted by Gujjar Chauhans of Ajmer and this fighting among the various gotras of Gujjars to establish supremacy over each other was the real cause of their defeat, otherwise Ghori and Gaznavi were no match to them at all.

Mrignayini must be a Gujjar Pratihar and must have agreed to marry a Gujjar tanwar, a Gujjar of lower status at that time than Gujjar Pratihars being the overlords earlier, only on condition that she will not stay with his other ordinary queens. Also she married him under compusion only since there were many attack were made to kidnap her by the Muslim ruler of Mandu and that brave girl along with her brother succesfully defeated all of them.

Babar has described the rulers of Gwalior as Toonwar and no where has written as Rajput in Babarnama. It is added only in the intrepretation and translations done by British Historians. The same Tanwars are called Tuar and Toor in Punjab, pakistan and Afghanistan.

You are wrong by calling be love bird. I am not picking up a fight with you since you are a Gujjar but I did not like it. Please dont underestimate me. I am a very very proud Gujjar and if not more certainly not less than anybody . During my childhood one of our relative, obviously a Gujjar, was posted in out Tehsil. I have seen his working style and liked him a lot. He used to beat more if a criminal is found to be a Gujjar since it is a disgrace to the whole tribe to have criminals.
This is not the British rule where Gujjars fought for the freedom of their motherland and were catagorised as criminals. The legends like Jagga Gujjar of Lahore, Jhanda sing Gujjar of Meerut, Kalua Gujjar ( Kalyan Singh og dehradun) were great fighter of freedom and were called by the britishers as criminals probably that is the reason why you feel proud of them.

Many Educated Gujjars write Gurjar with their name..But we hardly find any one of them from Delhi and nearby area as we like to use our surname instead of caste name. You can find lacs of educated and established Gurjars from Rajasthan and MP using gurjar as their last name...as ABHATI said DCP Bhairon Singh Gurjar who is a vidhuri by surname but as he is from rajasthan he writed Only Gurjar.

Was Mohar Signh realy a Gujjar. Iask to you only for because not in any sight he is witten as Gujjar.In one sight he was described as Thakur.Is Thakur also a caste?According to my knowledge Thakur is also just like a title of honor.I also have heard that in the past some rajput families hide their identity behind this title of honor.How a title of honor can be converted into a caste.Mazhr Gujjar told me that in some areas Gujjars are also entitled as Thakur.In indian media films and TV plays Thakurs are shown as God.Are they really like this.In Pakistan I have never seen them like this.You can ask from any Pakistni about the bravery of Gujjars.You even cant think in dreams hw much terror of Gujjars was in recent past.Once a Gujjar was abusing a minister infront of his home and he was hiding and seeing behind of his window.He was Maulana Kausar Niazi minister of Bhutto cabinet and Gujjar was relative of Jagga Gujjar wh came only in help of a Gujjar against the Minister. Once Ch. Mehndi Khan Gujjar an MPA from Faislabad certainly got angry in a political meeting when former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (chief minister at that time)call another person only Chaudhry of Faislabad in his presence.In reply Ch. Mehandi shown his Gujjar stuborn and pick a chair on him and abused.Nawaz Sharis hide himself behind the chair and table and ran away.This whole stiry was also printed in all National news papers at that time.Nawaz Sharif"s brother Shahbaz Sharif was Hit by a slap on his face in ithe chowk of Gowalmandi,Lahore only from a teenage Gujjar.Afterwaed many Gujjars was killed by him through police.Shahbaz Sharif is also treaed in the same way by another Gujjar namely Shahzad Gujjar amazingly still alive living in Badron Near Thaana, Bhatti gate,Lahore.First Ghunda Act was implimanted because of Jagga Gujjar.His rivaly with Governer of Punjab and with Acha Shukarwala(Informer of Governer)was famouse.Choogi money boxes was also chained,locked and fixed because of him.Ghunda tax was converted ino Jagga Tax after his name.Riaz Gujjar ws also king of Lahore in his life.Actually Gujjar bravery is not needful of Gujjar names because nameful people also have to think before to talk to a commmon Gujjar.Day by daywe are getting education thee things are finishing but one thing is very sadin the past our big problem was to get education but now after getting education the educated people hide their Gujjar identity, problem still the education.
