Many members of the forum asked me about Jagdev Parmar whose folktales are very popular among Gujjars. During my research I found the following information about him. Jagdev was the younger son of Udayaditya Parmar. Udyaditya was younger brother of Bhoja, the Bhoja of Dhar of Parmar subclan of Gujjars. After Bhoja Udayditya was next ruler of Gujjar Parmar clan. Though Jagdev was selected by his father to be the next ruler of Dhar but he willingly offered the throne to elder brother Narvarman.
Jagdev was married to a Gujjar Solanki princess. He reduced the Hoysala rulers of Dwarsamudra ( in present day Karnataka) to subjugation for the Gujjar Solankis, the family of his in laws.
His descendents are found in District Saharan Pur, Yamunanagar and Pakistan today. His services were utilised to take control of this route to Kabul, called Uttarapath in those days.
Vigraha Raj Chauhan, also known as Beesal Dev , a celebrated Gujjar ruler was married in to his family and Gujjars were able to take control of Kabul but Lahore remained in possession of the descendents of Mehmud, a turkic slave dynasty of Arabs.
Prithvi Raj Chauhan was the last Gujjar ruler of this celebrated Chauhan gotra of Gujjars.
Gopal was the the illegitimate son of him who was made Governor of Ajmer but he was expelled from there by the younger brother of Prithviraj, named Hariraj. Later Gopal, written as Gola (illegitimate son of the rulers) by Ferrista was made Governor of Ranthambore fort by another ruler named Kutubdin Aibak another ruler of this turkic slave dynasty.

Dear Vicky or whatever your real name is (no offense as many Rajputs have been writing to this forum previously with fake IDs),
Do you really believe in PrithviRaj Raso, which is not at all a historical book. It is better known as a praise work by Bard Chandra. Moreover, if you believe in this scientifically advanced age that people can be born out of fire pits then only God can help you.
Please get your facts correct and please don't cite useless references like Wikipedia and Prathiraj Raso. Please read what is being taught in the history classes of IAS coaching centers. I attended a few of these classes during 2004 to 2009, where I was taught by almost every history teacher that Rajputs was a confederation of various rulers which later connected their pedigrees to ancient Kshatriyas with the help of their local bards.
Please feel free to write to me for further clarifications of the facts.
Regards
