Though the area was part of Gujjar Empire till 954 AD this district is not named as Chandel after the Chandel Gujjars kings of Kalinjar. This is the name given recently. Similarly there is place is South Africa named Kasana, which is not named after Kasana Gujjars. Other than the name it has to be supported by other historical evidences for confimation.

dear great Gujjars please write about DOI Gujjars, i m zaheer doi living at wah cantt pakistan. my native land is Distt Poonch, post office chandak, village chuk katro fruitful response is requested please regards Dear Zaheer, Dor, Doroi, Doi, Dodh, Dodhi. Dedhe, Dedhar etc. are the same Gotra and spoken differently at different places. This is a very old Gotra of Gujjars. The other old Gotras are Lor ( Loh or Leva the rulers of Lahore ), Gor or Gorse, etc. The other sub branches of Gujjars like Pratihars, Chauhans, Parmars, Solankis, Chandilas, Guhilas, Chawras, etc are most likely the branches of these gotra only of Lor, Dor and Gor only. Dor is a very old Gotra and the present day Bulandshar and aligarh in UP was ruled by Dor Gujjars on behalf of their Gujjar Pratihar ( also known as Padihar) overlords. Kanak Sen Gujjar of Dor Gotra at the time of attack of Muhammad Ghori was the ruler of this area.Even the word Gujjar also have many different names in History and they known as Gurjaras, Gujjars, Gurjjars, Gujars. Goujars, Kochhars,Juzrs, Al-Zuzrs, Azars, Hazras and even Ku- chelo ( The word used is chinese Huen Tsang). When first translated and spoken from Sanskrit Gurjara to Persian as Al- Jujaria and then Persian to English as Sub-Kufarias, which is known as the highest tribe among all the castes in India by Persian Scholars. The Chauhan gotra among Gujjars are also known as Chawan, Chamanh, Chaman, Chohan etc. Mohil or Meelu is a branch of this chauhan Gotra. Multan was ruled by Mohil Gujjars during the Gurjjar Pratihar Empire and that is why is named as Mohil- Sthan, that was place the place ruled by Mohils or Meelus on behalf of their Gujjar Pratihar overlords.

Gorse gotra of Gujjars is named after Ghor Singh and the area ruled him was called as Gor. Gor was the region near present Ajmer and the other rulers probably from the area were the Poshwals Chechis etc. The Gors are found among the Brahmins also but their gotras are different like Bhardwaj etc. During the expansion of Gujjar Empire the Chauhans played important role to defeat the forces of Palas on behalf of Gujjar Pratihar Emperors ( See the inscription of Vigrah raj Chauhan). Thus the complete Bengal became the part of Gujjar Empire and it was given to Gor brahmins to rule becuase there was no threat from that side. These Gaur Brahmins settled at Lakhnauti ( named after Laxman as the Gujjar Pratihars are called as the descendent of him). Also other 9th. cetury records confims that Gujjar Pratihar Emperors given lands to Brahmins of bhardwaj Gotra. These Bengali Brahmins in the Nasal index also stands just below the Gujjar warriors but much above than other brahmins proves that they are of aryan race. Mnay of these these Brahmins rulers of Bengal also were converted to Islam after the Gujjars were defeated due infighting among their various clans for supremacy. Later these Brahmins were again converted to Hinduism but lost their original gotras and instaed took the gotras like Mukhejee, Chatterji etc. One may read the influence of Gojri language on the script of Bangla language further to reach to the truth. That is the reasonGor, Gorse ( Godse) gotra is found among brahmins also and Nathu Ram Godse was of this brahmin gotra. For the proof of my above claim please see JRAS 1905 page 153-154. The Guar Brahmins are indeed are the Purohita of the Hindu Gurjars and still ministers to some who are converted to Islam
Similarly there must be Gurjar Purohits of Gujjar Pratihara clans who used to provide the priestly services to Gujjar Pratihar overlords only. The two inscritption of these Gujjar Pratihar Brahmins are found in JodhPur and Ghatiyala (both the places are situated within a distance of 24 kilometers only which clearly shows the boundries of these Brahmin rulers on behalf of their Gujjar Pratihar overlords). They also must have been given this land to rule by their Gujjar Pratihar overlords. Later some Brahmins historians who were hired to write the history of India to please the vassals of British Empire claimed that these brahmins were the ancestors of Gujjars of Gujjar Pratihars. These hired historians like Mr. Ojha has done a great disservice not only to a Great tribe of Gujjarsa but to the entire Nation since in the effort of writing the Gujjars History in the name of others they have limited a Great Indian Empire only to the boundries of present day Rajasthan whereas in actual the boundries of Gujjar empire were from Afghanistan to karnataka and to Murma in the east. ]It is like a situation when your time is low even your accountant start claiming that he was your partner.

That is Maharaj Gurjar Mihir Bhoja the Great and comma is wronly placed.
Maharaj here is used for Samrat (Emperor).
Under Mihir Bhoja the Great the India was integrated in to Gurjar Empire from present day Afghanistan to Karnataka and to Burma in the esat.
Iron man Sardar Patel also did the same by integrating 636 states in to one United India and proved that he has the same genetic character of Gujjars like the Great Bhoja, the Gujjar Pratihar Emperor.
The meaning of Pratihar is wrongly described by many historians since they were ignorant of Gujjar language. In Gojri language it is made of two words i.e, Prithvi ( The Earth) and Har ( The lord). that means Gujjars, the lord of the Eearth.
Similarly other Gujjar Gotras who were fuedatory kings of the Gujjar Pratihar Emperors were also named like Do+ Har = Dor ( Dod, Dode, Dedhe, Dodoi. Doi, Dodhi), Tin +Har= Tinhar ( Tanwar), Char+Har=Chahar ( Chawad, Chawda etc.),.
