Book ON PRATAP RAO GURJAR sahyadribooks.org/books/agnidivya.asp?bid=233About The Book This book is a novel based on some of the incidents in the life of prominent soldier of Shivaji Maharaj i.e. Prataprao Gujar. Thinking of fact that Shivaji had let Bahlolkhan go after defeart, on the same lines, Prataprao recovered large amount and let him go with his life. But after hearing this news, Shivaji Maharaj was angry with him and wrote a letter that senapati hs to fight or imprison the enemy but doesn't have right to compromise with enemy, asking Prataprao to inprison Bahlolkhan and not to show his face otherwise. some more links regarding the resarch gorakhpur.nic.in/chap2.htmAccording to the tradition the Bhars assumed ascendancy over a large portion of this district after Harsha. From the Kahla plate, discovered in pargana Dhuriapar it is revealed that Mihir Bhoja ( 836-890 A.D.) of the Gurjara - Pratihara dynasty gave some land to Gunambodhideva, a chief of the Kalachuris in 856 A.D. in recognition of his services in the expedition against the Palas. The inscription on the plate amply testifies that in the ninth century A.D. this district was dominated by the Gurjara-Pratiharas and formed part of the Sravasti bhukti of their empire. Bhamana Kalachuri, a descendant of Gunambodhideva, led an expedition from Gorakhpur to help the pratihara king Mahipala, in his compaign of Ujjain. Evidently the Kalachuris continued to rule over a part of this district under the sovereignty of the Gurjara-Pratiharas. www.metmuseum.org/toah/ht/06/ssn/ht06ssn.htm• 8th–10th century The Gurjara-Pratihara empire extends across the north, and rulers patronize a style of architecture and sculpture that integrates northern and central styles.

Dear Shahzada, You may have some questions which have not asked but since my childhood I had the curiosity to know the truth. I am writing here the conclusion based on my knowledge about other clan like Mongols and their habits and history of Gujjars 1. Why The Gujjars are the Milkman. 2. Why The Gujjars used to hide thier caste and other identities. The answer for the first question is that Gujjars were never farmers and historical evidences clarify the truth that they were forced in to farmimg during Mughal period. Gujjars are called to be pastoral tribe who are expert in taking care of animals. During the days of Gujjar Empire the job of cavalry was to take care of horses and train them. There used exist a man animal relationship to take the best out of animals, like the horses, during war and to take the best food like milk during peace time to gain strength for war. If you visit the Gujjars living on top hills and are isolted from the main Gujjar stock they still observe Syapa ( to feel sad) on the death of their animals. That is the reason the Gujjars are milkman today. For that reason one may analyse the milk supply of China which from the Mongolia and Mongols were also cavaliers like Gujjars. It is very difficult to get a good bottle of milk in southern China. Hence the Gujjars and Mongols are milkmen today for the same reason and they should not feel ashamed of it. Turks got better in the area of cavelry after the Mongol blood was infuced among them and babar was half Mongolian, from mothers side. Earlier Mongols were Budhist till the time of Halaku ( the grandson of Changez Khan) and that halaku was so notorious that it is said he killed 60 million of muslims in a single during one of raids at Baghdad. This was possible in those days only on the power of their cavelry. The answer of the second is that the Gujjars were particularly targeted and killed during Mughal empire and British period and that was the time they started hidinh their identities. That is also the reason why some Gujjars in present day maharashtra started calling themselves as Kunbi but revealed later that they are actually Gujjars. Dear Gujjars, It is not only the best of Cavaliers and Warriors of the past like Gujjars and Mongols are the main suppliers of the milk in Asea by using the parental training they received from generations to genarations to deals with animals like Horses, Cows, Buffalos, camels etc. etc. The main between Gujjars and Mongols were that Gujjars were having tall and sturdy frame of body capable of even holding the horses with the muscle power of their arm, the Mongols were better riders and they could shoot their target with arrow even while riding a speeding hosre. This comparison is visible when lame Taimur attacked India and he was chased away by Gujjar Warrior who was 22 year old and having a tall frame of 7 feet 4 inches. He was capable to crush both Taimur as well as his horse is caught in his arms but it was the speed which made the actual difference and Taimur fled away from Haridwar, the land of Gujjar Parmars to which the Jograj Singh belonged. Here I would like to mention that Mughals (Babar) also would have been defeated by the Gujjars at Swat itself and later at Delhi by Gujjar Mandars, a heros like Gujjar Uadi Singh Nagari, Ratan Singh Salumbar who were killed by fighting with a fire of Match Lock. The others who lived alive to distort and write the history fled the battle to save their lives. If anybody observe carefully today in India, all the people making fire Crackers are Muslims and you will not find even a single Gujjar or Jat or for that matter even a Pathan Muslim in that business. In marriage that match lock ( called Atishbaji in local language) is still used to fire which Babar used in his many victories over small chiefs ruling in India that time. Hence the Mughals ( Muslims) are also in the same business even today using the training given to them by their forefathers.

correction in my early post hello ap bhai sahab As we all know that maharaj shiva ji raje was a gurjar by caste but can we proov that shivaji was a gurjar if you have any authentic proof then please give me.thnkx Dear Deepak, Please read the following for details:- 1. The Tribes and Castes of the Central Provinces of India - Google Books Resultby R. V. Russell - 2009 - History - 736 pages It may be noted that the present representatives of the Bhonsla family are of the Gujar clan to which the last Raja of Nagpur, ... books.google.co.in/books?isbn=0559128681 2. Read my earlier post somewhere in the thread of Gujjar Gotras about the movements of Gujjars Bainslas who were the rulers of Banswara at the time of inavsion of Babar. Many Bainsla Warriors must have come to Khanwa along with the forces of Great Gujjar Warrior Udai Singh Nagari, the ruler of Bagad that time. Banswara and Dungarpur were part of this kingdom called Bagad that time. The other group might have migrated to Khandesh, near Pune and were called as Bhainsla. This fact is alsoby the histrorians of Marathas that his ancestors migrated from present day Mewar region ( earlier called as Bagad). This may have happened after the defeat of confederation Hindustani forces. ( Please dont read it as Hindu forces since Hasan Khan Mewati, The Muslim Gujjar Raja of Mewat was one of the main opponent of Babar in this battle).
