There are many Historical Evidences that Gujjars are the descendents of Lord Rama. The Leva Gujjars are said to be the Descendents of his Loh, the Kushanas are the descendents of Kusha. As per the 9th. century inscriptions of the Gujjar Pratihar who ruled the most part of todays India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangla Desha were descendents of Laxman.

In the nasal index survey also the Gujjars stands on the top confirms that facts that are pure Aryans.

Now the question is where Rakhshash have disappeared? were the Rashtrakutas the descendents of Rakshashas. This theory has some ground since temple built by Rashtrakuta kings have marvellous sculptures Ravana, the king of rakshahas.

So it is not only the names of Rashtrakut and rakshash are similar but the two clans must be closely related to each other. Moreover they were bitter enemies of Gujjar who are said to be the descendent of lord Rama, to such an extent that they formed an alliance with the Muslim invaders against the Gujjar Emperors.

In fact many of the maratha clans were of rashtrakuta origin, the word maratha (maharatta) comes from the "maha-Rashtraka" or "maharashtrakut". Thats why their homeland is called MahaRashtra.

The Capital of rashtrakutas were Manyakhet somewhere near present day Gulabarga.
All their inscriptions are in Kannada or Telgu.
Probably during the reign of Rama Rakshash ( may be deformed to Rakshkut or Rahsrtakuta) were the forefathers of these Rashtrakutas.

Initially there were vassal sof Gujjars of Solanki clan but later by treachury became independent.

Again during the reign Gujjar Samrat Mihir Bhoj Mahan, it one of his Great fuedatory king Bahuk Dhawal of Gujjar Solanki Gotra defeated Hunas alongwith Rashtrakuts and made then vassals of Gujjar Pratihar Empire.

When Mahendra Pal son of the Great Mihir Bhoja divided his empire between two his sons Mahi Pal and Bhoja-II the Rastrakuts fought from the side of Bhoja II against Mahi Pal. Ultimately Mahi Pal won and became the Emperor of Gujjar Empire and thus for whole of undivided India.

The first name of the peninsula after Kushavrata, was Suratha, Saurashtra being a Sanskritised form like Maharashtr and Rashtrakuta. The original name Ratha or Redda is likely to have a close connection with the word 'shur-rudd' of the Assyrians and may indicate the Rathiks of the Ashokan inscription. The name survives in the Reddis of Telangana and the Rathods of the North.

So it means the name Saurashtra (saur - Rashtra, Solar Nation, most probably derived after the sakas who were in fact sun worshippers), was under the control of Kushans?

But it is factually wrong, becasue these sakas were defeated by kushans in around 70 BC. So it was known as Dvarka before it was named so by sakas during 3rd century BC.
