Please refer my submission dated 17.12.2008, “……….Gujars did the same mistake particularly from 1980 onwards when Rajesh Pilot won the election from Bharatpur on a Congress ticket and later he was made a minister at Centre. Since Rajesh Pilot [who reached up to State Minister level (not of cabinet rank)only in his entire career] was the first and last minister at Central level from Gujar community , knowingly or un-knowingly from Kashmir to Rajasthan Gujar gave the message that if “Pilot” visits any area having Gujar population during elections, most of them will vote for Congress. Congress party is still misusing the affection shown by the community to the Pilot family..........." I would like to invite valuable comments of the viewers of this social forum keeping in view the contribution of the "Pilot family" in last 30 years on : *Motivating and helping the community members to increase its share, representation or participation at different socio-economic-political forums and institutions. *Achieving the demand of ST status by Gujars of Rajasthan. *Getting admission in professional educational institutions, empoyment in Government/ private sector and awareness to common Gujars. *Helping to get Congress ticket in Parliament and assembly elections. *Economic development of the farmers / small milk men in Rajasthan. *Pressurising Central/state Governments to nominate Gujars as members at different levels of Government hierachy. *Helping local leaders of Delhi, UP, MP and Rajasthan to enhance their stature at state / national level. *Boosting over all morale of the community to become a strong, united force in Northern India. *And last but not the least whether the "Pilot family" has become a banyan tree under the shadow of which no seed can germinate and no small tree can grow.................

"Will Gunjal be the Gujjar face of Cong? (Times of India Report dated 09.04.2009) TIMES NEWS NETWORK Jaipur: The speculations that Prahlad Gunjal may be the Gujjar face of state Congress gained momentum as chief minister Ashok Gehlot held talks with the Gujjar leader. It is widely believed in the political circle that Congress might field Gunjal from Kota constituency for the Lok Sabha election. However, both the parties are not ready to disclose anything about the outcome of the meeting which was held just a couple of days before Congress is to announce it’s final list of candidates. “It was a formal meeting and chief minister Ashok Gehlot had invited me to discuss the political situation, but no discussion was held regarding ticket distribution,” said Gunjal. However, Gunjal did not rule out the possibility of joining Congress. “If the party will ask me to contest on it’s ticket, I will be willing to do so. However, I am not optimistic of being given a ticket by Congress.” The chief minister also spoke to the people of Kota who accompanied Gunjal. Pradesh Congress Committee president and candidate from Bhilwara constituency, C P Joshi, is informed to have backed the candidature of Gunjal. “If Gunjal contests from Kota, it is expected that Congress might gain support from Gujjars in nearby Bhilwara constituency that would be favourable for Joshi also,” said a Congress leader. Gunjal was expelled from BJP for his anti-Raje stance. Later, as proximity between Kirori Singh Bainsla and BJP increased, Gunjal emerged as the leader of anti-Raje faction of Gujjars. His rivalry with Kirorilal Meena is well known. Now, as Meena loses his importance in Congress, Gunjal’s association with the party is very clear. With Bainsla supporting BJP, Congress might use Gunjal to counter him during or after the Lok Sabha elections. My personal observation: It is nothing but shrewd plan of Congress party to make Gujars fool ...........Kota is not a Gujar strong hold..........the only Gujar dominated assembly seat i.e. Hindoli of Kota-Bundi region is in Bhilwara Parliament constituency where Congress has given ticket to C P Joshi.......Congress game plan is just to secure Gujar votes for C P Joshi.....

I think Rajesh Pilot is the inspiration of many leaders today even for Col. Bainsla and he was certainly a boon to our country.
I dont have to write the credentials of Late Shri Rajesh Pilot here who groomed many Gujjar and non Gujjar Leaders of repute. He was a Minister of State with Independent charge which is equivalent to cabinet rank. He resolved many issues of National Importance was certainly a National Leader and can not be called a Gujjar leader. He was farmer at heart and always fought for their rights and upliftment though by career he was a Fighter Pilot of Indian Air Force before joining Politics.
Similarly Sachin is also beyond comparison and I hope that he will win his seat by large margins as he is very popular among all section of society including Gujjars.
Here is his brief profile
Sachin - The Young Global Leaders 2008
Sachin was selected as one of the Young Global Leaders 2008 by the World Economic Forum, Davos in recognition of his professional accomplishments and commitment to society.
Academic Qualifications
Sachin has done his B.A. (Hons.) degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Mr. Pilot has worked with BBC at the Delhi Bureau and General Motors Corporation.
At 26 years of age, he became the youngest Member of Parliament in the country. He has also been a Member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Budget Estimates Committee of Parliament.
Sachin’s Ideology
He is focused on the empowerment of the farming community and youth. He aims to inculcate a sense of social and political responsibility among the youth in rural and semi-urban areas of the country.
He has been fond of flying and received his Private Pilots License (PPL) from NY, USA in 1995. He is also a keen sportsman and has represented Delhi State in a number of national shooting championships.
In 2004, Sachin Pilot married Sara Abdullah, daughter of Kashmir politician Farooq Abdullah.
In recent news the father of Shere Kashmir Sheikh Abdulla is also said from Gurjjar origin. He must have one of them who hidden his Gujjar identity to save his family from Mughals and Britishers who were particularly used to target the Gujjars.

Please name some of the Gujar leaders at Central/ state level groomed in any way by the Pilot family ?
In Rajasthan, Congress has given tickets to 6 Jats, 4 Rajputs, 3 Pandits, 2 Meenas and 1 each to Gujar (Sachin Pilot himself), Muslim, Jain and Kalbi.
The only other ticket (which is of any importance) given to Gujar community in the entire Northern India is Faridabad(Haryana) which is due to his personal efforts.

I would like to clarify my point of view:
1. The Congress has always ignored Gujjars since they were easily available to them. This time the Gujjars should prove the point not to vote where Gujjar candidate is not contesting. The 6 number of Jats have been given the ticket for the same resaon.
2. The Gujjars leaders at National Level like Sardar Patel and Rajesh Pilot were class apart than others. Sardar Patel was not made a Prime Minister since his services to the country were available without any condition whereas Jawahar Lal Nehru blackmailed Mahatama Gandhi that his services were available only if he is made Prime Minister. Even being Deputy Prime Minister and first Home Minister of the country Sardar Patel is named as Iron Man of India for his services for Integration of the whole country and he is the highest respected man.
Rajesh Pilot was also a strong contender for Prime Ministers post and was in fact a leading candidate within the Congress for the top post.
Regarding distribution of tickets in Rajasthan to Gujjar by Congress I would say that Gujjar should not vote for them other than in Ajmer and certainly show them that they this time they are not easily available to them. Initially Faridbad MP is also groomed by Late Shri Rajesh Pilot. You may have to go throgh the news papers yourself to read more. Also Rajesh Pilot was a elected powerful CWC mebmer and that is not possible without the support from all sections of society within the Congress.
3. Third and most important in the present circumstances, Sonia Gandhi will not promote anybody in Congress who is more smarter than her own family members. That goes against Sachin Pilot as well. That is the resaon people like Manmohan Singh, Pranab Mukerjee are enjoying top positions without any political base at all since they can not be capable to be a threat to Sonia Gandhi and her family at later stage. These are capable people but plenty of such people can be found serving at at secretary level and political posts should not be given to such people.
Ashok Gehlot is enjoying the CM post for the same reason since he can not win votes except one of his Saini MLA who is made minister by him in the very first opportunity availbale to him.

To the best of my knowledge Avtaar Singh Badhana was never in good books of “Pilot family”…….?
It is unfortunate to say that pure Gujar sammelans (large gatherings) were used to be referred as “Kisan Sammelan” by our so called great leaders. The importance of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Devi Lal, Lalu Yadav, Mulayam Singh, Nathuram Mirdha (Rajasthan), K L Meena (Rajasthan) is due to their community support only and the same is applicable to “Pilot family” as well. But the different leaders named here proudly declare them selves as “Lat leader/ Yadav leader, Meena leader…......” then why our so called great leaders feel ashamed to be known as “Gujar leader”. The so called national / great leaders are “ZERO” without blind support from innocent, poor and common Gujars of Rajasthan.....?

To the best of my knowledge Col Bainsla is not even in talking terms with the "Pilot family".........!
I wish there were 10 less-educated, rural MPs belonging to Gujar community who could represent interests of common Gujars by making a pressure group in the parliament of India instead of a celebrity, elite class “BABA” having B.A. (Hons.) degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A……………!

Sachin is the only rival to Rahul gandhi . And Rahul knows the fact very well. Sachin is a different kind of politician who thinks above the caste level politics. he always wanted to become the leader of mass not the leader of a particular community.

That is your individual opinion. We need all kind of leaders who can represent the country at International Level like Sachin Pilot and also grass root level leader who can fight for the cause of the community. You start reading the statement of Sachin Pilot and you will know him more. I am happy that he is grommed so well by his father that for a moment we even forget the vacuum created by the tragic death of his father. Also please dont divide the people on regional basis since Rajasthan and J&K are having a special place in the heart of every Gujjar since at other places we are mixed with others as our culture language and traditions are lost. Also It was not support for Col. Bainsla alone from the Gujjars at National level but it was for thekilling of innocent Gujjars in Rajasthan by the Government. Please note that it was not BJP Government who killed Gujjars but Officers in the Police from the other communities did that by taking the advantage of almost neglegible presence of Gujjars in the Government at level. Col. Bainsla did a very good job for holding the agitation peacefully and no other leader of the present era could have done that. Now he is also criticised by some Gujjar leaders for joining the BJP but he is taken a very right decision in the overall interest of community. He is well experienced and well educated and there is no replacement for him and his criticism by other community leaders is not at all justified. Now he will fight from the position of strength for his mission and Governor SK Singh who is sitting on the bill passed by the Rajasthan assembly can not take him lightly. In view of the present scenario all the five candidates seems to win with good margins and Sachin Pilot will break the records.
