Hi Gurjars, Read about the Great Hero Kamal Ram Harshana (Not sure about the surname as few people claim Great martyr Kamal Ram to be from another Gurjar gotra). Kamal Ram was an Indian recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Get more details on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamal_RamRegards Ashok Harsana

Hi brothers. I wanted to create new thread for this info but don't know how to do this.So posting it here: Major Kuldeep Chandpuri Mahavir Chakra interview : link : www.acmgc4u.com/kuldip.htm." I am not the only awardee in the family. My uncles Sqn Ldr (later Gp Capt) Charanjit Singh and Sqn Ldr (later Air Commodore) Jasjit Singh both IAF pilots, were also decorated with the coveted gallantry awards of Vir Chakra during the 1971 war. Their sister’s son-in-law, Maj Harpal Singh was awarded the Vir Chakra (Posthumous) while leading an attack in the eastern sector in December 1971." Air Commadore Jasjit Singh is an IAF icon and is presently Director, Centre for Air Power Studies and his articles regularly feature in all top newspapers and magazines.
