Late Shri Harbeer Kasana ji, (1953-2006)
Late Shri Harbeer Kasana ji,
First, It’ll need patience to read abt him, but I can assure u it’ll be intresting…
Well...U'll be surprised to know the achievements of our own Harbir kasana. Here we go.....
First of all.. He was a throughout TOPPER.
He got 9th position in class 10th in U.P. board...
Got 7th position in class 12th in U.P. board
Abandoned his B.Sc. in between....completed later...
Got selected in mihir Bhoj degree college dadri but Left it before joining due to some baising...
Got selected in "IIT Roorkee" as dept head and taught there....
Taught in BITS Pilani (As dept. head)....
Was in All India advisory board for Mathematics...
contd...look for next scrap!!!!
And now the bigger ones...
Selected for Indian representation of Advanced Mathematics for United Nations Maths Council. An unbelievable feat....
Taught as maths professor at Sweden University. Hailed as one of the best maths professors to teach ever in Sweden...
Taught in abt 13 nations all over globe, a commendable feat by any means....
Over 100 students did their Ph.D. in maths under him. Tremendous work....
His books on Algebra are taught world over, including Swede Univ & DU, IIT etc...(I've also read one)
Some other unknown folkfores abt him....
When he was in class 12th in K.R. Inter college, chirori, he had some issue with Ashok kumar sir(of maths). So he was misunderstood by him as egoist & proudy. When the annual practical examinor of physics came in college, Ashok sir told him to have a tough viva of Harbir. After the viva, Examinor was speechless. What he told Ashok sir was,
"Sir, in my whole teaching career, I've never seen a student like Harbir. Their are some things which I learnt from him today. He is unmatchable..." And after that he topped U.P. Board to make Ashok sir proud...Another one is also interesting when, in Sweden, he was asked by a professor that "Sir,what's it in u that we don't have. While our lectures are met with a cold response from the students,All the students are more than eager to attend ur classes. Ur classes are always full while ours are empty. Tell us the magic u have done on the students." So was his charm that he was popular even on foreign soil...
He was very humorous & fun loving. He didn't get married.Unfortunately, He died at an early age of 52 by brain haemorrhage...thus depriving us from the sea of knowledge he had. All his research work in his computer was sealed and it was a big loss for our community specially and for India in general...
As it is getting some cumbersome, i would like to stop here. I think it is enough for u to understand what a great personality he was. Had he been alive, he could have been a hell lot of good for us. You definitely must be wondering how i know so much abt him. Actually he was my Papa's best friend and used to come to our home whenever got time. So it was like a personal shock for me when i heard abt his untimely demise. I wonder how can our community miss such a great hero. I'm surprised that no one knows abt his achievements in even Jawli, left alone othe Finally a sincere urge, Please spread a word about him in your friends circle, relatives and wherever you can, so that people of at least our community know abt such a legend. Forward this msg across and let others know that we also had someone to boast of...
