Jaat are described in NCERT Books for class VIII Social Science as Highway Looters ,Thieves (Chors) and Robbers but due to a large hue and cry of Jaat caste this was later deleted from some books. These Books were being taught to the students for several years. NCERT is a premier agency in the field of education and this was done during the time of Arjun Singh as Minister of HRD.Govt of India. NCERT books teaches what is written in Indian History and Indian History has serious defects. These defects need to be rectified before placing them in to NCERT Books. One may find derogatory remarks in NCERT books about Gujjars as well which are nothing but the creation of people who prospered during slavery period of the country. Also it does not require an Einstien's brain to imagine that what kind of people can prosper during slavery period of any country?. It is only the people who are of lowest of the lower marality and now after the independence of the country they want to get some respect by inserting false stories about others in history of the country and in NCERT books. In Real Jats are warrior community. When Mehmud was defeated by the Gujjar Solankis of Gujarat the Jats made his life even more vulnerable and looted his belongings. Babar has also mentioned Jats and Gujjars together is resisting him. According to Chinese Annals Yetha was the name of a Yuezhi prince ( Gujjar Prince ) and his descendents were called Yetha, believed by many historians as Jats. Similarly Hun ( White Huns or Hepthalites) was also part of Gujjars tribe as per chinese Annals. It seems that large part of these groups were left in present day chinese Turkestan while small segment of these branches of Gujjars went along with the movement of The yeuchi i,e,. Great Yuechi on a mission to conquer the large part of Central Asia and India to build Gujjar Kushan Empire. The main group of Jats and Huns came sometime during 4th. century in India and those groups were considered as separate groups than Gujjar in India. The small groups of these clans who came along the main Gujjar Group are part of Gujjar community today and are celebrated Gotra of Gujjars. Hun is a Gotra of Gujjars in India and Jat is also Gotra of Gujjars in Afghanistan. Most of the customs, like worshipping their ancestors as Gods (called Devtas among Gujjars and Jats) and avoiding Gotras of Mother and Father in arranged marriages among Jat and Gujjars are common. Jat and Gujjar rivalry dates bach to Surajmal days of Bharat Pur when he set on fire some Gujjar villages in Chambal valley in a night attack. All the Gujjars were burnt in a surprise night attack. Probably Ballu story of Ballabhgarh also dates back to that period. It was the time when the descendents of Churaman Jat, the founder of the Bharatpur state were severly punished by Mughals and were converted Islam. Probably that time some of the descendents his cousins and near relatives were scared and as a result took shelter with Jaipur vassals of Mughals to save their life. Surajmal was in the direct line of these vassals of Jaipur state. To know more about rivalry in western UP in both the communities one may start reading newspapers around 15th. of August when Patriotism sentiments achieve its peak level among Indians. One will find only the sacrifice of Gujjars and some stories of Jats being informers of Britishe Empire. Many numbers of times it is reported in the newspapers that in 1857 Gujjars looted the provisions and ammunition of British Army and Jats burnt down many Gujjar villages in support of Britishers. Shahmal a freedom fighter was a Mawai which is a Gujjar Gotra. All his followers were Gujjars and not even single Jat supported him as per the British records. for some reasons the Britishers considered him a Jat and as a result considered all the Mawai Gujjars of the area as Jats. All the properties of Mawai Gujjars were spared and today Mawai Gujjars had biggest land holding in the area.

to vraj hahahahahahahah once again you failed. Evidence for your claim that Ashoka was a Jat come on geeza have some sense! Anyway you gave some supposed to be reference to your claim which has got nothing to do with Ashoka, it talks about Gupta, and the second reference does even have a link. Let’s look at this in more detail “The single important point is that Indian Academia has now accepted the probability that the Gupt(a)s were Jats, and this is being taught in the school History text books, as part of the official curriculum.” According to the dictionary sb.thefreedictionary.com/probabilityProbability means Possible, might, etc…. Where does it say FACT? Answer nowhere. If you want to talk about possibilities then one can say the theory of Evolution is true. And life just began from the big bang. I guarantee you even in India they teach children in science that we come from Apes and everything has evolved. Like its gospel truth. Does this mean we have come from Apes? Because somebody has a theory? Use your brain please. And by the way there are more historians against the theory that Gupta was a Jat. Reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gupta_Empire#cite_note-a1-11“A.S. Altekar, regarded the caste of the Guptas as Vaishya on the basis of the ancient Indian texts on law, which prescribe the name-ending with Gupta for a member of the Vaishya caste, but this injuntion was more often disregarded than followed. A modern historian, K.P. Jayaswal suggested that the Guptas were Jats. His argument was based on the Pune and Riddhapura copper plate grants of Prabahvatigupta, the Vakataka regent and the daughter of Chandragupta II. In these two inscriptions, she states that she belonged to the Dharana gotra and as it was not her husband's gotra, it is the gotra of the Guptas. His view was endorsed by another modern historian, Dasharatha Sharma, who added that the Jats of the Dharana gotra still exist in the present-day Rajasthan. Another modern historian, H.C. Raychaudhuri, also accepted that the Guptas belonged to the Dharana gotra. He also believed that they were possibly related to Queen Dharini, the chief consort of Agnimitra But the basis of this argument, the earlier accepted reading of the Riddhapura copper plate inscription may be incorrect and the correct reading possibly indicates that the family of Prabhavatigupta's mother, Kuberanaga belonged to this Dharana gotra. Recently, a historian, Ashvini Agarwal, on the basis of the matrimonial alliances of the Guptas with the orthodox Brahman dynasties, assumed that they belong to the Brahman caste. However, recent excavations in Nepal and Deccan has revealed that Gupta suffix was common among Abhira kings, and Historian D. R. Regmi, links Imperial Guptas with Abhira-Guptas of Nepal.” Source: Agarwal, Ashvini (1989). Rise and Fall of the Imperial Guptas, Delhi:Motilal Banarsidass, ISBN 81-208-0592-5, pp.82-4 Source: Inscriptions of ancient Nepal, Volume 1 By D. R. Regmi, Page no.74 Thanks.
