Akshay Kumar (Rajeev bhatia) is very close to a Gurjar Friend of mine who is from Ambala 'currently in Nasik'.
Akshay said in his interview on NDTV that he belongs to a Gujar family.

Its not difficult to prove that Rana Pratap and other Guhilauts, Sisodias were Gurjars. I have a long list of proofs.
I read somewhere that PrithviRaj formed an association called Gurjar Mandal to fight out Ghori's turk army.
I need your help in this regard.

Hello Ashokji,
I stand corrected for the counts in Gurjar IAS/IPS Officers. But what I mean is that - we have only a handful of these officers from our community. And you know better that how it helps to have senior Officers/ministers/leaders from one's own community to get better postings in the Administration.
As you are aware that there are various caste based lobbies in the administrative sector. These lobbies are vary effective in building good image of the officers of their own community, apart from helping them siliently on official notesheets. Many of my colleagues who are reading this passage might have noted that a Sharma will always appreciate Mishra Saheb's managerial skill in the office or Shrivastava sahab will always quote the example of Saxena babu for his sound clerical understanding of the subject. On the other hand we in our Deptt/organisation are always searching for our community breathen for seeking help or for helping them in whatever way we can help them out, but its really hard to find people from our communities in Govt sector. If somebody from our community is able to manage a good posting or an appreciation or some reward in some field, then it is for sure that its only because of his explempary work in that particular field.
I think our community should select some potential boys and girls right from the school stage and provide them all possible help to compete them in UPSC exams. Though there are only a limited seats now in IAS/IPS, but at this point of time we must have to do this. Think of a direct recruit officer in a state cadre. For his initial years of service he ought to have some supporting hand ( say a senoir officer or a minister) to get a good posting or a good name in the administrative circle, so that he might be selected for the top job amongst a few in the years to come. Same is true for the senior level officer/minister to have his own man for getting done his job done to his satisfaction.
How a minister can succeed in politics if he doesnt get the work done for his voters. And in a competative political age of these days, the competitors are looking for your mistake only to get you out of the competition. And for getting his work done he need to have confidents in his party, in the administration.
Its true that you can have connections from other communities but one is comfartable and confident with people from his own community. He can establish direct contact if it is known that the other one is from his own community and then there cant be any communication gap in between. I think, probably you might have got the idea, as I know I have very poor expression power.
I must take this opportunity to congratulate you for the good work you have done for the BIRADARI in establishing this site and initiating valuable discussion in this forum. Congratulations are also due to A P Singhji, Gurjereshwarji and others for devoting their valuable time to our community in this very busy life.
(Sorry again, R S Tanwarji)
Regards
Prakash

Hi Ravinder, This information is for you.
Delhi was founded by Gujjar Tanwars (Tuars,Toors, Tomar) in 736AD. The earliest reference Of Gujjar Tanwars is found in an inscription at Pehpowa, ancient Prithudaka, in Karnal district of present day Haryana of the reign of Gujjar Pratihar king MahendraPal I. It states that their was a king Juala of the Gujjar Tanwar dynasty who obrained prosperity by looking after the affairs of Gujjar king. The Gujjar Chauhan king Guaka II of Sakambri, the Son of Gujjar Chauhan king Chandan killed Gujjar Tanwar king Rudrena in the battle. At that time both the Gujjar tanwars and the Gujjar Chauhans were the Samants of Gujjar Pratihars. The foundation of the religious buildings at Pushkar were laid by the wife of Gujjar Chauhan king Chandan at that point of time.
The Son and successor of Guaka was Vakpatiraja I who ruled in the first quarter of tenth century and he stated to have harrased TantraPal who was on his way to Anant Gochara (seems to be country near Sikar) with a message of his overlord, the Gujjar Pratihars of kannaj. This statement makes it clear that at this point of the Gujjar Chauhans acquired enough power to defy the authority of Gujjar Pratihars the overlords of all kings of india. Gujjar Chauhan VakpatiRaj built a Shiva temple at Pushkar. He had three sons Simharaja, Vatsraja and Lakshmana. Laksman founded a kingdom at Naddulla, in southren Marwar where his sucessors ruled for several centuries.Simhraja atscended the throne after Vakpati raja. He defeated the Gujjar Tomar general named Salvan and put in to prison a number of Gujjar Tanwars princes. In order to liberate them, the Gujjar Pratihar king of Kannauj the Devpal came to the house of Gujjar Chauhan at Sakambri in person. Iskla Matlab ye ki Gujjaron ki Panchayat ne faisla kar ke Delhi Wapas Gujjar Tanwars ko Dilwa dee. Subsequently the Simraja who ruled in the third quarter of third century freed his territories from the suzerainty of the Gujjar Pratihars who had about the time lost their imperial position. He is the first among the Gujjar Chahaman kings to assume the title of Maharajadhiraj. He granted a number of villages to the temple of Harshnath, which was constructed in AD 956 and lies near the village of harshnath about seven miles of Sikar. The Gujjar Tanwars continued to rule Haryan till the middle of twelfth century when they were overthrown by Gujjar Chauhan king Vishaladev ( The famous Beesal Dev). King Beesal Dev was the real brother of Mandalji, the grandfarher of God DevNarayan. Mandalji built a big water tank ant Mandalgarh near Bhilwara, which is still there.
PrthiviRaj Chauhan was born in this branch of Gujjar Chauhans with Gujjar Tanwar mother, a princes of Delhi and thus became the king of Delhi since his maternal grandfather Anangpal, the Gujjar Tanwar king of Delhi had no son and adopted his grandson Prithviraj Chauhan.

Hi ravinder, This will also clarify that after the sack of Delhi ruled by Gujjar Chuahans, the Ajmer was ruled by Gola who also called himself a Chauhan.
When Ghori left Delhi after taking Delhi he appointed Kootubudin a slave, as viceroy of Delhi and Ajmer. Kootubudin placed one "Gola" (Salve, born from Chauhan prince with slave mother) upon the throne of Ajmer mistaking this of the last appellation of the natural brother of the last Hindu King. It is mentioned by the bard Chund in his book the Exploits of Prithviraj. Col. James Todd has also given the referenence ( The historical record taken from the work of Muslim scholar Ferishta and translated by Dow.) This Gola could not claim that he was a Gujjar since he was not born from a Gujjar mother and hence could have told that he is Rajput (which is a true statement since he was son of king but not from the queen).
