Hey Ashok,
Nice work done.
I have an Idea.May be everyone like it. You can add one more feature to the website where the interview of all those Great Gurjar personalities can be uploaded. It will serve two purposes:-
1) It will validate our point that these personalities are Gurjars.(Just to make this website more reliable and these will keep those mouth shut who say that we are including the people of other castes into Gurjars, like in the past.)For ex. still we need to give proof that Prithviraj Chauhan was Gurjar king. If he even once said somewhere that he is Gurjar or He is proud to be Gurjar than things could have been easy here. ;D Ha,ha,ha)
(We still doubt that Akshay or Arjun Rampal is Gurjar untill they give interview themselves.)
2)It will be a source of inspiration for youngsters of our community. They must read the views of successful personalities of our society.
3) This will increase the reliablity of this website. As there is no such website that can be reliably reffered to. This is one of earliest websites of Gurjars, that is started for the community. And I hope if every one contribute positively specialy with good ideas and there is some validation check on the contet of this site (as said by Veer Gurjreshwar). This site in the future can be a source of research and reference.
This can be very much implemented as I hope we would be having our Brothers/sisters who are in Journalism, who can help us.Also Ideas like this will increase the ground for individual involvement and contribution.
Even the people who are not in journalism and are around these personalities can take their interviews.
I think this can be a good Idea. Ideas for value addition and enhancement on this topic are welcome.
Thanks! Gurjar Ravinder Tanwar

Hi Ravinder, 1.See the following link: tdil.mit.gov.in/CoilNet/IGNCA/devn006.htmThis is regrding God Dev Narayan who is worshipped among Gujjars and Rajputs all over India. The Great grand father of God Dev Narayan, Mandalji was the real brother of king Beesal Dev. God Dev Narayan was born to a Gujjar Khatana mother and Gujjar Chauhan father. 2. Gujjar Chuahans were the fuedatory kings of Gujjar Pratihars of Kannauj. In the book Prithiraj Vijaj and in an inscription pillar found in Delhi, Vigrah Raj Chauhan one of the great legent in the family of the Prithvi Raj Chauhan is recorded that this great king chased the Pala king of Bihar and Bengal till the place where the Ganges fall in to the see (Ganga Sagar). This place is near calcutta. He foght this battle for his over lords the Gujjar Pratihars as a fuedatory king and probaly this battle must have proved a decisive battle to extend the territory of Gujjar kingdom tp present day Bangla Desh. Vigrah Raj Chauhan and his fiture generations enjoyed a special place in the Drabar of Gujjar Pratihars ,the overlords of the whole of India. 3. Similarly Bappa Rawal the most celebrated legend of the Gujjar Guhilots, the family of Rana Pratap fought all his battles under the Great Nagbhatt Gujjar Pratihar, the king of Kannauj. In History the name of this Great legend of Guhilots is recorded as Kalbhoj. Nagbhatta the Great was the Grand father of the king Mihir Bhoj the Great.

Hi Gaurav, I have done some work for you here. Though Prithvi Raj Chauhan and Rana Pratap were our (Gujjars) great ancestors but they were very small in all aspects compared to our other ancestors like Bappa Rawal, Ghoga Bapa Chauhan and there is none in Indian History to be comapred with the Great Gujjar king Mihir Bhoja the Great.
I would like to inform all that as far as History of India is concerned the Gujjars are incomparable.
The Gujjar Partihars empire which continued in full glory for nearly two centuries was the greatest empire in India before and after the Muslim conquest. This honour is unjustifiably accorded to the Harsha and Akbar by many historians of repute but without any real justification. The Gujjar Pratihar empire was the larger and certainly not less is extent and its duration was much longer than the Gupta and Mughal empires.
The Difference between the empire of Mughals and Gujjars is that the Mughals were having no threat at all in the name of religion whereas Gujjars faced many wars from invaders in the name of religion and within India from rashtrakuts who were providing vital information to the Muslim invaders and Jai Chand was not the first Rashtrakuts to help Ghori, the invaders.
From the days of Junaid (A.D.725) to those of Mehmud of Gazni, The Gujjars Pratihars alongwith their Gujjar fuedatories Gujjar Chauhans, Gujjar Guhilots, Gujjar Solankis, Gujjar Chandels, Gujjar Tanwars, Gujjar parmars stood as bulwark of India's defence against the aggression of the Muslims.
Historians of India, since the days of Elphinstone, have wondered at the slow progress of Muslim invaders in India, compared to their rapid advances to the other part of the world. Arguments of doubtful validity have often been put forward to explain this unique phenomenon. This is the point where all the historians and scholars agreed that it was the Power of Gujjars Pratihar arms that effectively barred the progress of the Muslim invaders beyond the confines of Sindh. This must be regarded as the chief contribution of the Gujjars to the History of India otherwise India would have been a Muslim country by three hundred years before the end of Gujjars empire. Also this was the reason why Mughals did not like Gujjars and Rajputs of gujjar stock and new rajput powers like Kushwahs and rathores became prominent under the umbrella of Mughals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Historians,
The size of army of Gujjar King Mihir Bhoja the Great was biggest in comparison to all other great rulers of India for the period including before and after the Muslim conquest. The Size of Cavalry of Gujjar king Mihir Bhoja was 36 lakhs fighters having 9 Lakhs each in all the four directions. The Size of the country ruled by Gujjars at that time was from Multan to Karnataka and up to present day Bangala Desh in the east.
Akbar the great was having no threat from the Muslim invaders in the name of religion and having smaller challenges but Gujjars like Naga Bhatta the Great and the Mihir Bhoja the Great were fighting bigger challenges at both the ends i,e, at one side with Muslim invaders and other side with rashtrakutas (The present day rathores).
See the Historical record in support of my claim.
Al Masudi an Arab historian, a native of Bagdad, who visited India in the year 915-16 A.D. refers to the great power and resources of the Pratihar king of Kanauj, and the wide extent of his kingdom, which touched Rashtrakuta kingdom in the South and the Muslim Principality of Multan in the west with both of whom the king was at war. He was rich in horses and camels and maintained four armies in four directions each numbering 9,00,000 men.

It is great that Prithviraj Chauhan and Rana Pratap were Gujjars. But how many Prithvirajs and Rana Prataps do we have now? That generation of our community produced personalities like them, but the point is what our generation is doing now? Withou tany reservation that generation produced National Heros of those times. And we, having availed OBC reservations for almost a decade, we do not have even 20-25 IAS/IPS Officers till date. It is good that many of the scholars are doing appreciable work on Gurjar History, but what other intellectuals are doing for promoting enterpreunership, innovations among Gurjar Youths? How many of us come forward the Best Educational Institutes, Competetion Centres, etc. Here 'us' means the Gurjar Associations, Societies, etc, because it is almost impossible to think of charity from an individual for the community.
