Hello Brother,
The map is almost correct.
It shows the times when Pratihars were weaknened by Palas from east and Rashtrakutas alongwith arabs from the south and west (During the starting years of Parambhattarak Nagbhatta-2). Nagabhatta-2, however, later recovered and captured kannauj, which remained the Gurjar stronghold until the end of Pratihar era i.e. till the end of the first quarter of 11th century (1025 AD).
But this is not the answer to the question you raised: Actually the Kushan Empire was the greatest ever empire in the Indian history. At the zenith of it, its boundaries reached till Caspian Sea (mid Asian region). Present day Georgia, Uzbekistan, Iran alongwith many other Russian and Chinese States came under the sway of Gurjar Kasanas. (In my opinion they even reached till Present day Iraq during the reign of Kanishka the Great.) They subdued the Parthians and Arabic tribes in the second half of the 2nd century.
But to honestly understand the actual strength of their empire we have to consider Chionites as the part of Kushan empire. These Chionites were actually Red Huns, later called White huns. (Red indicated North, Blue: West, White: south and black: east)
Chionites claimed independence only after the 3rd century AD. (During the reign of Vasudeva). They defeated the Parthians alongwith Kushans and called themselves as Kushan-Shahs (Master of Kushans). This title (shah) was later used by many other dynasaties (huns, Chachs etc) which ruled the same area (today's Kabul to Sindh) in the later ages.

Please clarify. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharmapala_(emperor)en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pala_Empirethanks Dear Raja, 1. The biggest Empire of India were of Gujjar Gujjar Kushans. Gujjars Kushans were the richest also since many of their coins found are made of Gold. Trade was at it best since Coins of Gujjar Kushans were like US Dollar today and are found from as far places as Norway and Sweden.
2. The socond biggest was of Gujjar Pratihars.
Both of these Empires ruled over Greater India consisting India Pakistan Afghanistan and part of Tibet. Kushans ruled over Central asia but Pratihars ruled over present day Bangladesa which was not part of Gujjar Kushan Empire.
It will take some time to provide historical evidences about Gujjar Pratihar rule since that part of Gujjar history is raped during the slavery period of the country. Gujjar Kushan Empire is mostly written in Central Asia and Europe and you will find many attested evidences about them.
I always feel great to answer your questions probably because these are the same questions which comes to my mind quite often while reading history books. I am sure you must also be reading lot of history books.
Earlier you raised a question that how barbers call themselves Raja in Pakistan?
During the reign of Mehmud Tilak was a son of barber who was kept by a Kaji. From kaji he was taken by some official of Mehmud who was made general of Hindu forces by Masud, the son of Mehmud. Tilak must have certainly appointed some of the people of his clans and head of village called Thakur and in India also they are called as thakur.

i know it will be difficult to show exactley where the kushan empire ruled to, but just a rough sketch wil do.
plus can we really say that chionites were gurjars as you said earlier ashok bhia that they called them selves masters of kushans, WHY would they fight against their own brothers from the say clan?

Dear Raja, During Gujjar Pratihars, the Peshwar was the border town of the Gujjar Empire but during Kushans it was the main capital of Gujjars and Mathura was the winter capital and Samarkand was the summer capital. Present day Bangladesa was the part of Gujjar Pratihar Empire where historical evidence show that present day Bihar and Magdha was certainly part of Gujjar Kushans. Probably Bangla Desa was not part of Gujjar Kushans. There is lot of information available on other sites regarding Kanishka the Great and Kushan Empire on other sites including WIKIPEDIA. See the following link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanishka The Gujjar subclan of Kanishka is generally beleived to be as Kasana ad thus the Empire was called Kushan Empire, however some scholars is of the view that his actual subclan clanamong Gujjars was Khatana and not Kasana.Probably Vijay Singh Khatana was his direct descendents, who founded a Vihara at Potraya. It must be the Potohar region of present day Pakistan which is dominated by Gujjars even today. The Pratihars clan of Gujjars must be direct descendents of Vijay Singh Khatana and named so as being the rulers of Potohar regon. The other possibility is that they were named so as the ruler of Parthia which was also under Gujjar Kushans. I have written about the Great Emperor Vijay Singh Khatana in the thread of Gujjar Gotras and the history of Gujjar Gotras.

Mr. A.P.Singh, Burma was also under the rule of Great Gujar Partihar. I come to know now Kushan was biggest Empire. I always think that Patihar ruling area was considerd as bigest empire. Thanks for Information. Dear Gujjar Badshah, Most of the Central Asia was part of the Empire of Gujjar Kushans. The Capitals of many Gujjar clans like Bokkana, Chechis,Karhanas, Khalchyan etc. etc were located in Central Asia beyond present day Afghanistan. Certain words are still used by the Gujjars even today without knowing the origin of that word. One such word in Uzback ( Uzbek), which is used for the people who buy the fight with small instigation. It because the complete Uzbekistan was under control of Gujjar Kushans and Samarkand being their summer capital. The movements of Nomad Gujjars even today remind us the movement of Gujjar Kushan Emperors from their summer capital Samarkand to Peshawar and from Peshawar to Winter capital Mathura and vice versa depending upon the season. The tradition Many places are named there after the celebrated clan of Gujjars. It is not only Georgia, which is named after the Gujjars but Chechanya and Tashkent is also named after the Chechi clan of Gujjars. I think Chechi was one of the main clan of Gujjars who were unite under Gujjar Kushans. Kasana, Khatana and Bokkan were the other three clan of this confederation. The fifth clan I am still working. It may be Varajjar or Bajjad, whose branches must Pratihara,Nagara and Parmars. The original name of Tashkent is Chach khand made by two sanskrit words Chach+khand where Khand in Sanskrit means Region. Chechanya is Chachiyana like Bhutan is Bhatiyana named after the Gujjar Bhattis. Kushans empire was the richest of all Empires. The coins of Kanishka were traded i countries as far as Norway and it can be compared to US $ of the first century, which was accepted worldwide. The Coins of Gujjar Samrat Mihir Bhoja Mahan are made of Silver and not is Gold as the coins of Kanishka. It is probably because Samrat Mihir Bhoja Mahan had to spent lot of money on wars and it was during his time that part of Afghanistan was under the control of Gujjar Pratihars. Science and Technology was also probably better during Gujjar Kushans. It can be made out from seeing the quality of coins of Gujjar Kushan period. It may be due to the fact that many territories ruled by Greeks including the Scientists and Engineer came under control of Gujjars. Varah Mihir ( Aryabhatta of sanskrit) was one such scholar and thus the zero was invented during Gujjars rule. The dress of Gujjars was also Greek with boots. Similar dresses can be seen even today in Gujarat state of India. You may see it on various TV channels while performing Garba folk dance by the artists.
