New Delhi, June 25: Delhi police doubt if the three youths behind the weekend honour killings in the capital were “arrested” by Uttar Pradesh cops yesterday.
Delhi police sources suspect that cousins Mandip and Ankit Gurjar and their friend Nakul could have surrendered after being assured that they would not be ill-treated in custody.
Garhmukteshwar, the place of their “arrest”, is dominated by Gurjars and sources said it could have been a “surrender” planned by politicians.
Also, the trio have been booked for the theft of their neighbour’s car, not for murder. The trio had used the vehicle to flee after Mandip killed his sister Shobha and Ankit murdered his sister Monica and her husband Kuldeep. Today, Delhi police failed to appear in an Uttar Pradesh court to take away the youths despite having a warrant.

This was an unfortunate incident and certainly should not have happened.

I am not saying about the so called hounor killing by the media since it is not yet proved but about the girls who were of quite young age and probably were targeted by some bad people. Also, probably, after taking their extreme steps they were sacred of having no support from their parents and thus were left with no return path.

Also the parents unfortunately in these cases could not communicate and understand with their children which is a common problem in large number of families specially having rural background but living in the big cities where people from cross cultural societies share the same platform. There exist a very high degree of cultural differences among the people living in the cities like Delhi. For example there is section of Sikhs living in Delhi ( only two villages) where the real cousins could marry each other. The other sikh population can not believe this at all. If, for example, some person from this community is selected in media where the marriages among cousins are common, s/he will not understand the culture of others like the village customs or about the Gotra and can turn the whole argument in to filth.

In the present case, the Uncle of the girl has suggested a very good idea about the legal age of girls' marraiges since one of the girl concerned is just a few days over 18 years and it is very difficult for any parent or guardian to convince the teenagers particularly who are under influence of films and/or bad company. I could understand the pain of the person who insisted in his argument that the marriageable age of girls should be raised.

I also think the same way and hope this case should act as an eye opener to the law making authorities in the country. I suggest the law could be modified in the following manner:

1. The legal age of girls to be eligible for marriage could remain 18 years only but with a rider that it should be with the consent of parents or guardians.

2. Without the consent of parents or gaurdian this age should be raised to 21 years so that the girls can take the informed decisions about their life. This is almost impossible in case of teenagers where unfortunate parents are rendered helpless to convince the children about their future as these childeren can be targeted by the bad elements easily.

These amendment will help all the parents irrespective of communities.

well done by these guys.. i totally support these guys.. reason :::: thses were the girls who made us shame and brought down the glory of the community down. listen you guys who talks bout the modernization are our girls getting more modernize than others in with area .. in education or in anything else .. here i want to say one thing that i have realized very well that jats boys or the girls are ahead us in every aspect but i meraly saw a Jat boy or the girl eloped with the other guys or girls.. they mostly does in their own caste ..check out the recent accident in haryana or in up.. most of them were jats from the both sides... here the problem with us that we are too conservative towards our girls.. just let them to explore themselves but make them understand that we are the best and all these unacceptable things never be praised... give them the best education but along with their family values... brothers and sisters we are not killing our blood as we are very fond of these things.. but these things can never be accepted...

And one guy who is favouring these girls ..can i ask one question to that guys what was the education of these girls and what they have done in the past one was eloped with a muslim boys ,,one with another bull nuts these girls... what were they did and and what they wanted to do ... what all happened and most of the community persons are oprasing these....that all whether you like it or not.... it doesn't matter....

hi to all gurjars bros, one thing is that the parent should be more careful with these types of the things happening in the society ... A mother should talk to her daughter and show them the right path time to time .... if they give their girls so much liberty then these things will repeat ..hence it is the right time to think seriously.. otherwise the future will be very uncertain....

Dear gurjar brothers,

Whatever happened is very very tragic,disgrace & it was a violent reaction to a very touchy subject.

Well,I am totally against it(HONOUR KILLING CRAP) as well as people who supports it.Actually marriage is the very important decision of life.Everybody will marry where he/she wants,we are No-one to dictate them or anyone.And just like gujjar guys can marry in other caste,so gujjar gurls have a right to do the same as well as.
BUT YEAH____I Definitly belive ki jo izzazt apni biradri/caste mei milti hain vo to kahin mil hi nhi skti.We have to think thousand times about our parents and their reputation before taking any LIFE CHANGING STEP

Friends killing Crap is not the solution for anything.
we cant give anyone to life so we dont have any right to take it from anyone
To prevent this we need open discussion.......keeping our hearts and minds open.
