In UP there are certainly 30-35 lac Gujjars.
But we are not more than 10 lac or 5% in haryana in any case.
Please see the data below:* Jats 20-23% i.e. 45 Lacs** Brahmins: 8% 16 Lacs Ahir: 10% 20 Lacs Muslims: 4.5% 9 Lacs Sikhs: 6% 12 Lacs Punjabi (khatri and Aroras): 8% 20 Lacs Sainis, Rajputs, Baniyas and Meos: 10% 20 Lacs
Now lets assume that gujjars are 10%, that means the remaining castes (including SC/ST, who form around 25% of indian population) contribute only 20% of haryana's population. Its technically not possible.
* All the data provide above is taken from various sources (news, election surveys etc.) and is not 100% accurate. ** Jats claim that they are around 32% (or 65 Lacs) of Haryana's population.
The population wise spread can be roughly understood as: Faridabad 2 lacs, Gurgaon 1.3 lacs, Panipat 1 lac, Kalka-ambala 1 lac, Rewari-narnaul 1 lac, Yamunanagar 1 lac, others 3 lac.
