Batar is a dominant Gurjar gotra of Southern Saharanpur and North West Muzaffarnagar.

Batar Clan occupies 52 villages ( Bavani) towards west of kasba Titron in Saharanpur and goes up till Kasba Unn near Kairana in Muzaffarnagar.

The Batar area has benefited immensely by canal irrigation work and western Ganga canal runs right through this bavani.

The current MLA from the Nakud Vidhan sabha seat is also a Batar. His name is Chaudhary Mahipal Majra and belongs to village Majra.

Also since the name of the village of Prashant is given as Bhura than this is also a Gurjar villages and goes by the name of Bhura Kandela and these two villages are near Kairana. Kairana is totally Gurjar dominated area and the dominant gotra in this area is Chauhan (Kalsyan). And Gurjar is the dominant caste in this area. Chauhan clan has 84 ( Chaurasi) villages in this area.

The current MLA from Kairana is Hukum Singh Chauhan and his village is Bhura.


Batar is a pure Gurjar clan and jaat do not have this gotra and in the area ocupied by Batar Gurjar the jaat caste population is negligible.


If Prashant is Batar than he is surely Gurjar .

[CHAUHAN]

bhura n kandela r two connected villages of chauhan gujjars. kandela is village of my ancesters.there are 84 villages of chauhan gujjars. kandela is also village of hukum singh , mla from kairana.also jasala or dashala village is also situated in this area itz one of the strongest village in west up,,,,village of ch virendra singh (Ex minister in up govt) and nyaymurthi BS chauhan. many guys of this village r setteled in foriegn countries. kairana is the border of up and haryana.ppl mostly go haryana daily for wine an petrol etc as prices r less thier..and as v cross yamuna at this border their r lots of rawal gujjar villages in dist karnal(approx 84).
ch virendra singh is considerd very powerfull(dabang) among Jat and gujjars here. he hv bitten many officers and leaders. officers r afraid always by him either its SP govt o BSP govt. and in this area gujjars n jats coperate each other jats also support virender singh stongly.

i know i should have replied earlier, but i recently joined the forum and came across this thread and for the sake of having correct information, prashant batar natively belongs to gaon bhoora tehsil kairana and recently created shamli district, i belong to same village and sorry to disappoint u all prashant is neither a gurjar nor Jat. he belong to SC community where there is same gotra batar  as in gurjars, aborginally there are from same place near nakur near saharanpur,
