The Gurjar population in India analysis which I’m providing is just an approximation but not a sure check.
I’m providing it in minimum and maximum values.
MINIMUM: (From North to South)
Punjab- 2 L
Uttarakhand- 1.5 L
Haryana- 7.5 L
UP- 16 L
Delhi- 14 L
Rajasthan- 42 L
MP- 10 L
Gujarat- 5 L
Maharashtra- 7L
Total: 1.05 Crore
MAXIMUM: (This might sound like an exaggeration)
1.Punjab- 7 L
3 out of 117 MLAs are Gurjars
2.Uttarakhand- 3 L
Mainly in Haridwar district, Jhabrera, Laksar, Khanpur, Iqbalpur, Landhaura, etc have good Gurjar population.
3.Haryana- 13 L
That is around 5 plus per cent.
4.Delhi- 16 L
Eight per cent of the capital’s population.

5.UP- 45 L
7 percent of Harit Pradesh having 6.3 crore population.
6.Rajasthan- 56 L
Around 8 percent.
7.MP- 35 L

8.Gujarat- 15 L
Just a guess for the actual Gurjaratra.
9.Maharashtra- 25 L
Northern Maharashtra has thick Gurjar population.
Total: 2.15 Crore
This was just the Hindu Gurjar population in India. If we include our Muslim Bros too, the maximum can go upto 2.5 Crore.
Between 1-2% of India’s population.
If anybody has better reports, he is very much welcome to present and rectify these values.
Another thing which I’d wish to share is that we must not lament about us having lesser population than our fellow castes. Population would actually matter if we wish to be the “vote bank” for politicians which I’m sure we don’t. Having more population doesn’t mean dominance.
“Sher jungle mein kuch hi hove hai, par phir bhi Raja kabhi kisi hathi ya hiran ko nahi kahate.”
I hope you understand the meaning. As the society makes transition to the modern side the parameters of “dominance” of a group change. In earlier times dominance came from the following factors:
(I) Numerical Strength
(II) Status in Social Hierarchy
(III) Land Owning
But now as the society changes, it comes from:
(I) Education and Jobs
(II) Role in Administration and Urban Sources of Income
(III) Political Representation
I hope you’re clear with this. We must not cry about what the Britishers did to us anymore or how our land got snatched and given to traitors. This won’t change anything, but what will is our unity and hardwork.
It is relevant to the example of India and Japan. Both countries were in poor conditions around 1950 but look how much they’ve improved and we keep cursing the Britishers for colonalising us.
We must look and work at the positive side. For example, 20 years ago educated men from our community were countable. But today I find our youth clearing UPSC, Medical and Engineering exams. Though less in number but a positive transition! And we must continue this progress by promoting ourselves in:
• Education
• Sports
• Active Political Participation and Voting
Finally, I’d just say that-
“Biradari ko sudharna hai to Sab bas Khud ko aur apne Baccho ko sudhar lo.”
Thanks!
