A | M------------------------F |...................................| M-------F ..... M----------F |......... |.......................| D ........ C .....................D
Hi Mr Gurjar, I like to say if you look the above diagram , you will know a what I want to explain,
A- Ancestor F- Female M- Male B,C,D are children
Now B,C,D are descendant of A here , --but only D is the direct descendant --C only related to A through mother lineage but have different father lineage --B have completely different father and mother lineage ,but still related to A through mother side B->F->F->A
So, even B,C,D are of different clans but still can claim to be descendant of A
This diagram is for only three generation , but if made it for thousand year than u can imagine how may descendant of A will be there even most of them will have different clan.

Thanks HSingh for your diagram and also trying to explain the topic.
Ok my second question to my Gurjar brother is does anybody know any info regarding the Poswal sub clan?
I read in a book called “The Royal Gurjars” By Naunihal Singh, that this sub clan takes its name from King Purus of Pauravas.
It would very helpful
Thank you

Mr.A.P.Singh, In punjab and J&K ther is a subcaste there is a subcaste namely "Por" also found among the Gujjars but Denzil Ibbetson author of "Tribes ,Castes & Subcastes of Punjab & NWFP" writes that its just an effort to conect with Raja Porus. Why historians mostly rejectects our proofs and give importance to other's only claims.

Mr. A.P.Singh, Is Naunehal Singh also a brahman because he also has tried to proof Gujjars mostly as brahman but not a single Gujjar whether he is a hindu or muslim call himself as brahman.Never ever any Avtar came from brahman lineage even brahma name's similarity not shows him as a brahman. Why brahman is going with this kind of dishonesty and trying to steel Gurjar Khastrya's history.

Dear Gujjar, Mr. Naunihal Singh was a Gujjar but he was probably misinformed and must have certainly done the mistake not to refer the original historical sources like inscriptions. He must have reffered to secondary sources and made this mistake.
In history of present day India, Pakistan and Afghanistan certain bugs are inserted at kernel level which are to be removed. I have already mentined two of these bugs which are as follows:
1. In the Vaillabhattaswamin temple inscription of Gwalior, two clans of Gujjars are clearly mentioned, i,e,. Nagara and Varajjara and also is mentioned the fact that the Nagara is the branch of Varajjara, to whom Vailla Bhatta belonged. CV Vaidya, probably a Rashtrakuta descendent inserted a bug that there is no such clan in India. Only after the Britishers had published in Bombay Gazeteer there are huge population of Gujjars of Nagara gotra in Bulandshar district, Mr, Bhandarkar was alerted and thereafter he corrected himself. By that time the Brahmins ( read bhaddarkar) had proved that Guhilas ( the rulers of Chittor) were the descendents of Nagar Brahmins. 2. Jaipal, who is reffered as the rai of Hind , was the Great Grandson of Gujjar Samrat Mihir Bhoja Mahan and CV Vaidya by cheating proved that he was a Brahmin. I caught the bug where he has cheated the India and Gujjars of their Greart History. But Vaidya was able to generate controversary and till now the bug is not been corrected and on the Map the regions ruled by Gujjar emperors has been reduced to half.
The line ofGujjar rulers after the Samrat Mahipal ( also known as Kshitipal ) is as follows: 1. Mahipal 2. Devpal, son and successor of Mahipal. 3. Vijayapala son and succesor of Mahipal. 4. Rajyapala, son and successor of Vijaypala. 5. Trilochanapal son and successor of Vijayapal and who was sent to help his cousin brother Ananadpal son of Jaipal on behalf of his father and the Emperor of India alongwith the forces of other Gujjars fuedatories the rulers of Ajmer ( Gujjar Chauhans), Kalanjar ( Gujjar Chandillas), Ujjain ( Gujjar Parmars), Delhi ( The Gujjar Tanwars.
The Gujjar rulers of Kabul were as follows: 1. Gujjar emperor Bhoja included Kabul in his Empire as per the verse 150 of Rajtarangini, making all the rulers their as his fuedatory kings. 2. Samrat Mahipal spent most of his times in Kabul and Lahore as a prince on behalf of his father, the Gujjar Emperor Mahendrapala. Bhoja-II was lookking after the part of the Empire towards south from kannauj. 3. Jaipalpaladeva was made the independent ruler of Kabul, by his brother Vijayapaladeva. 4. Anadapal was son and successor of Sri Jaipaladeva. 5. Brahmpal was the son and successor of Anandpala who killed in the battle. 6. The Nidar Bhima ( the fearless Bhima) who sacrificed his life in the war with Mehmud Gaznavi at Lohkot near Punch in 1026AD was the son of Trilochanapala. The last record of Sri trilochanapaladeva of 1027AD is found from Jhusi ( near Allahabad) where he granted some of the villages to Brahmins.
3. All these Brahmin historians who wanted desperately to prove that Harishchandra Pratihar was a Gujjar adopts the theory that Gujjar is not a caste but the people from Gujarat are called as Gurjaras. But who named this part of the region as Gurjaras they are clueless. It is the biggest abuse to the Gujjars that an enemy like Barishchandra Brahmin is called their ancestor. He was a Rashtrakuta and no link of the inscriptions of his descendents is ever established to other dynasties. It is clear as they claimed that they defeated certain Bhati prince gives the clear enough clue that he was part of Arab and Rashtrakuta confederacy against Gujjars where he claimed to have defeated the Bhati prince, which is a celebrated caln of Gurjaras.
Like the Rashtrakutas had adopted the title Vallamandalapalak of Gujjar Solankis, similarly this enemy of Gujjars and friend of Arabs adopted the title of Pratihars who were ruler of Jodhpur earlier.

Most of the Gujjar inscriptions are edited by the people who associated themselves as the descendents of either Palas ( Like Majumdar) or with Rashtrakutas like vaidya and Mr. Bhandarkar. They all knew nothing about culture and clans of Gujjars.
The British historians writing history of India were misinformed by these Indian historians and told that there is no Gujjar tribe exists in India and Rajasthan and thus based on this misinformation the history of India was written.
Much later when the British Empire did a census and it was revealed to them that Gujjars are a dominat caste in India some of the errors were corrected at upper layers iof history in the Bombat Gazeteer, however the bugs inserted at basic level or kernel lavel were not removed.
Rajore inscription clearly state that Maharaja Matahndeva belonged to Pratihara clan of Gurajjars. Rajore was capital of Sri Vatsrajadeva, the Grandfather of Gujjar Samrat Mihir Bhoja the Great, is a clear link that Mathandeva was also the descendents of Sri Vatsrajadeva and thus belonged to the same familty of Pratihar clan of Gujjars, to whom the Emperors of Kannauj belonged.
In the leter verses of this inscription it isstated that the Gujjars were doing farming in surrounding land given to the temple. In the translation the half truth is told that Gujjars arte also farmers there. This error is made because the inscription is translatedd and edited by others who knew nothing about Gujjars and their culture. Actually, the ruler of Rajore, who was from Padiharara Gotra of Gujjars and who was also a fuedatory king of Gujjar Pratihars of Kannauj built one temple at Rajore in the memory of his mother and dedicated this temple to her who was just expired. As everybody know in this forum that among Gujjars all our encestors, who left for their heavenly abode becomes Devtas and are to be worshipped by the ther descendents themselves and not Brahmins since Brahmins ( Read Gujjar Brahmins) has to worship their own own ancestors. Even today all such temples called ( Devras), can be found in the agricultural fields of Gujjars are worshipped by their own descendents. So it is this fact which is recorded in this inscription that all the requirement of the temple to perform Puja at this temple made in the memory of the mother of the ruler is to be fulfilled by the people of his own clan , i,e,. the Gujjar themselves including farming of the surrounding land to fulfill the rerquirement of the temple.
In the Vaillabhattaswamin temple of Gwalior, which was built by Alia, in the memory of his father Vaillabhatta , a Gujjar of Nagar sub Gotra of Varajjara ( Bajjad) gotra , a separate provision was made to have Telis ( oil-miller) to manufacture oil to regularly lit the lamps at the temple. Later, he allowed these oil-millers to built one such temple of Telis also which is still called as Teli-ka Mandir.
CV Vaidya suggested that there is no such clan like Nagara and Varajjara and thus this could be a name Nagarbhatta andsubsequently in Indian history including NCERT books his version was followed and thus the false history is being taught in this manner. In all the books one will invariably find Nagarbhatta in place of Vaillabhatta Nagara In fact Vaidya could have said nothing about the subject which he had no knowledge but certainly giving his false opinion he meant business to cheat the Gujjars of their history and ascribe the same to Brahmins, the task which was performed by his another firend Mr. Bhandarkar to claim that Guhilas, the rulers of Chittor, were descendents of Nagar brahmins. The fact is Guhila is celebrated Gotra of Gujjars and thus could also be branch of Nagara Gujjars.
Dr. BN Puri, probably suspected the honesty of these Brahmin history workers and thus reffered the original text of inscriptions in his works. That is why his books are munh in demand today.
I will admire the honesty of some British scholars here like Dr. Hoernle and Dr. Buhler, who were extremly honest in their writings and even inserted the pharse that "italics are mine" to clearly state that even the different fonts of the characters used in translation are not part of the original text of the inscriptions.

To relate the Harishchandra Brahmin to Gujjars probably the services of Mr. Majumdar were taken by KM Munshi, a Brahmin, which Mr. Majumdar had openly accepted in one of his interview that he was pressurised to write certain things by Mr. Munshi.
Mr. Majumdar has done the job of relating many historical facts by giving his own translations and versions which could be even exposed by a student of standard class 3rd. For example see the following case.
The descendent of Harishchandra Brahmin defeated certain Bhati Prince of Vallamandala. The Gujjar Emperor Vatsaraj defeated the kings of Bhandi-Kul. Here Bhandi kul were descendents of Bhandi who was Military Commander and maternal uncle Harshvardana who was Defeated by Dadda Gujjar of Bharoch. Mr. Majumdar also distorted the fact that Royal clan Dadda Gujjar was Chauhan and not Pratihar. Bharoch was never ruled by Gujjar Pratihars and always remained a stronghold of Gujjar Chauhans.
Mr. Majumdar considered the Bhati clan to Bhandi clan to establish the reations of Harishchandra Brahmins to Gujjars Pratihar of Kannauj. Bhale admi ( Gentleman Majumdar), please note that this translation by you is being done from sanskrit language to Hindi and not persian to Hindi language where such deviations may be allowed. Moreover both Bhatti and Bhandi are well known and celebrated ruling families so dont expose yourself to a level where you will be proved to be dishonest later. Fortunately for us he has not translated Mahabharat where Arjun was called Maharathi ( Great Warrior). By applying the same logic from the school of Majumdar where 'T 'can be replaced with 'D' while translating from Sanskrit to Hindi and vice versa, the hero of Mahabharata Arjun can be called "Maharandi " which means a "great prostitute". Unfortunately there is legend in Mahbharat that Arjun hid himself in the guise of an eiunuch, the story propagated from the school of majumdar will get some fabric of thuth and people today will assume that some act of prostitution must have been done by Arjuna, the Great Warrior. Also there will always controversary whether Arjuna was a man or woman. Probably Abhimanyu was also not his son, since Arjun was a woman and his other brothers must have shared Subhadra also like Draupadi.
This kind of historians could not resolve even a single issue on theor own but even the real facts of the history were lalso made as controversial by them.

Mr. A.p.Singh, (1)Is it a undebateable matter with proofs that Harishchandra was a brahman xcept so cold historians. Some persons thinks hat he was a khastriya? (2)Was Raja Porus a Gujjar? There is a subcaste also namely "Por" among the Gujjars of Punjab and J&K. The author DENZiel Ibetson of "Tribes,Castes & Subcastes of Punjab & NWFP" writes about this subcaste"Por" that its just an effort to connect them with Raja Porus. As you know many castes now a days tries to proove that Raja Porus belongs to their casts. How we can say that he was a Gujjar at least saying better than others? (3)Jai PAl is a very big name in Punjab history but as you know Gujjar case especially of history is different from others.Other claims were written as history but our facts with proof are not conciderable? how can we say he was a GUjjar? Please answer separately with humbly request? And Mr. Ashok Hasana it will also be pleasure for me if you also write some thing about that. Thank you.
