today i search about gurjars ,and found this site
i immediately join it to know about gurjars
i m from dape gotra ,please tell me about this

Ram ram dear "Nishant rana" my self yatender nagar, to know about "Kalshyan" gotra please read the book wrote by late Rana Ali Hassan Chauhan(kalshyan), The short history of Gurjars published by yamunanagar gurjar sabha in hindi.
According to this book The Harisingh cauhan or Harra chauhan had three son from her gurjar wife named 1. Kalsaraj , 2. devraj , 3. deepraj their anscestors are called as 1.kalshayan, 2. deevde
3. dappe and they are not inter marry to each other , their is a large population of kalsyan gotra was adopted "islam" at the time of muslim era.
And at the last brother again " Ram Ram"

That again proves that they left Rajasthan at least 2000 years back. Regards During the Huna invasions ( White Huns, a group of original Gujjar Tribe who came later) some Gujjars ruling at Kabul and Sindh area lost lost their territories and found shelter at Valla Mandal region ruled by Gujjar Solankis that time. These newly settled Gujjars Warriors in Valla Mandal made the position of Gujjar Solanis much stronger and Pulkesin with this confederation of various Gujjar clans was able to defeat Harshavardana. Dadda Gujjar was the leader of Gujjar confederation in this war against Harsha where Harsha was defeated badly and had to marry his one of his daughter to one of the junior member of this confederation. Pulkesin is called Valla Mandala Palak ( King of Valla Madala) in one of his inscription. Valhara ( Valla Raja) was the title of this Solanki clan of Gujjars. Later one of their non Gujjar fuedatories formed an alliance with the Arab invaders and their joint armies defeated this Gujjar confederation and Vallamandala was given to Rashtrakutas by the Arbas, their new lords. That how Arbas always called rashtrakuts as Vallara in all their historical descriptions even after these Rashtrakuts were finished forever during the regime of Gujjar Samrat Mihir Bhoja Mahan. Hello Mr Harsana. I am HD Gurjar from Malpura -Tonk (Rajasthan). My Gotra is Harsal and I also have relation with Harsana. My younger brother weds in Harsana. Please tell me Harsana and Harsal are same gotra or separate gotra....... I also discussions on this issue to my ancestors. They told me that these gotra are separate. So if these are separate than tell me history of sub caste Harsal.

Hello, Sab gujar bhaion ko salam.yeh bohot achi aur malumati site hai.mera aik sawal hai plz.mujhay khatana gujjar ki history maloom karni hai, aur un ki zyada population kaha hai. Agar book reference mil jai tu bohot mehrbani ho gi.thankyou, and plz rply Khatana Gujjars are mostly found in Punjab ( both in India and Pakistan ) , Kashmir ( among both mukami and nomads ), NWFP in Pakistan. They seem to have their origin in Gurjistan, where a tribe named Khitan had been found ruling even in mediveal era, where they seem to have migrated along with the Huns from the trans western boarders of China. Even Westren China at that time was known as Khitai and its subjects as Khitans.So Khatanas are either a tribe of the Tribal Federation Called as White Huns or an allied tribe. This is my view and is open to further research and debate. |
