Dear Progressive Gotra of Dara Singh is Randhawa which is very common gotra in Haryana and Rajasthan. Dharmendra Gotra is Deol which is very common in Distt Shahranpur in Western UP, Ambala in Haryana and also in Maharashtra. www.jatland.com/home/DeolNavjot gotra is Sidhu which is common gotra in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. In Punjab they are mostly in Patiala. In Haryana they are in village name Kairanwali in Distt Sirsa. In Rajasthan they are in district Hanumangarh in Sagariya. Please find hereunder the evidence www.jatland.com/home/Kairanwaliwww.jatland.com/home/Sangariawww.jatland.com/home/SiddhuAnother point to be noted is that there are several gotra between Hindu Jats those are not common in Haryana, Rajasthan and UP. For eg Hindaul gotra is only in Western UP, you will not find it in Haryana, Rajasthan or Punjab. Same is with Tomar Jats. Yo will not find tomar gotra of jats in Haryana and Rajasthan. Tomar Jats are only in Western UP and MP. www.jatland.com/home/Hindolwww.jatland.com/home/TomarI have also added mentioned theory of the orign of Jat and Jatt www.experiencefestival.com/a/Jat_-_Jatt_origins/id/5181243As you know that all the jats and gujjars before they convert to sikhism and Islam were Hindus speaking their regional languages. Best Regards Vijay

Tabassum begum - gujjar chauhan (Kalsyan Gotra) won from Hindu Gujjar (Chauhans) DOMINATED AREA and proudly called herself a gujjar during campaign.
Azhar (khepar Gujjar): campaigned as Chaudhary Azharudin and his 10th class marksheet says his name as Mohs Azhar-ud-din khepar.
Narayan Dharam singh's daughter is married to Sukhbir singh jaunapuria's son, and it was a widely discussed fact among south delhi gujjars thhat karnataka has a sizeable gujjar population in gulbarga and nearby districts. jayaprada and Vijayashanti also belong to the land owning Gujjar community.
I have personally met Dilip Singh Judeo 100 times and I know he is a gujjar, there is no need to clarify if anyone doubts his caste. He was present in the Gujjar mahakumbh on 18th december 2006 in delhi and gave a wonderful speech on our community and called himself a proud gujjar. He was the first perosn who told me that Samthar's King Ranjeet singh Judeo's daughter Princess Niharika Singh is married to Tikka Dushyant Singh. he also told me at one other instance that Raja Bhaiyya's mother is also a Gujjar and belong to his (Dilip Singh's) own family.
And after the valuable info that Dinsh Jhaverbhai Patel is also a Gujjar , I am very happy to declare him as the 9th Gujjar MP in my list. There is one more Patel who is most probabaly a Gujjar but Right now I m researching on him.
haan ek baat aur Vijay ji, hum ek Jaat Saurav Hudda ko DUSU election ladvane ki tayyari kar rahe hain... power and paisa humara lagega (matlab humare NSUI Gujjar group ka).....ab aap comparision karoge toh humari mehnat ka kya hoga??? Dil me khatas toh mat paida karo yar comparision karke....!!

This is OUR FORUM , The Gujjar community forum and I cant allow anyone (READ ANYONE) to use hatred language against my Gujjar community. You know why I have deleted your post Mr Vijay Raj.
A small foolish mistake from your end can again ruin the harmony between Jats and Gujjars, and can start hatred discussion which the Rajputs are awaiting since long.
So anything said against Gujjars in a bitter (hatred) sense is just not tolerable on this forum.
You are most welcome to talk about Gujjars and also the ways through which the Gujjar community can progress faster.
ONCE MORE you are requested not to compare JATS AND GUJJARS as it can start the topic "WHY SO".
You are intellegent enough to understand not to compare two communities with different history.
Thnaks and Regards
Ashok Harsana The Real Rana

No two communities like Gujar and Jat can be compared without taking into account of their historical background, responses to invaders/ foreigners in past, level of opportunism, cleverness/shrewdness in availing benefits from a particular situation ..............etc.
For example through out the mutiny in 1857 (barring few exceptions), Jats were with Britishers whereas Gujars were fighting for the national cause ..........(see imperial Gazettear of India, the last Mugal etc). Jats have been termed as "Pilars of British Empire" by the historians.
Jat opposed all over India Mandal commission report's implementation by V P Singh, even Vishvendra Singh (MP and RAJA of Bharatpur) resigned from Loksabha but after some time when they realised its benefits they took 'U' turn..........and tried by all manipulations to get included in the OBC list.
for example:
Jats bargained successfully with Atal Bihari Vajpayee who promised OBC status to Jats. The National Democratic Alliance government, which began its tenure in 1999, gave the Jat community OBC status. While the Backward Classes Commission in Rajasthan was yet to determine the status of Jats in the state, Delhi Government"s Commission for Other Backward Classes had not only recommended OBC status for Jats in Delhi but also held the Jats in Rajasthan to be equally deserving of this status( October, 1999). The Delhi Government"s Commission for Other Backward Classes was headed by former BJP MP, Justice (retired) Guman Mal Lodha. Moreover, the findings of the Gurnam Singh Commission in Haryana suggesting that Jats were socially more backward than many of the Scheduled Castes, including those who were traditionally associated with scavenging are nothing but height of manipulation to find place in OBC list.
These examples are just indicative and not exhaustive...........there are several other reasons why you can not compare Jats with Gujars...........?
But still Gujars can learn something from Jats viz. unity, supporting each other, quick changeing of attitude and side as the situation demands, cleverness in exploring any situation, availing education & employment opportunities by any possible means..................and so on.....!!~!

This is something I never wanted... This forum is a platform for Gujjars to share/discuss there views/problems. Its not a caste or communities discussion forum like punjabi.net etc. Please be humble, patient and decent to your fellow indian brothers.
Thanks and Regards Ashok harsana

.........Simultaneously Gujars should accept reality and should not make false claims.........Gujars are roughly 1 crore in India ........and Jats are double in number as compare to Gujars.........Gujars have very limited representation in political, educational and administrative circles of the country.........Gujars are also economically weak, less educated and do not have any alternative economy..........they have to go a long way .......!!!

As far as the Hindu Gujjars concerned they are nowhere weaker economically. I have been to almost all gujjar settlements in northern India, they are well to do ( if not rich) in all the areas except a few pockets of tonk in Rajasthan.
In fact they are known for their moentory power everywhere in northern India.

This post should be deleted. This person want to spread a hate discussion by giving wrong information about Gujjars. In the past also at samajsandesh.com this kind of people killed that site and never allowed the healthy discussion to take place. By the way what is the source of his information about the population of Jats and Gujjars? Why he want to discuss only about Jats and Gujjars? Historically both the communities fought together against invaders except for Britishers where the Gujjars fight agaist the Britishers was total and Jats had a mixed reactions. some of the Jats fought against Britishers and some of the them sided with them. Even Shah Mal Jat ( of Mawai gotra which is prominently found among Gujjars also) did not have much Jat support base and most of his supporters were Gujjars only? Many people says that Gujjars were the biggest loosers and Jats were the gainers in 1857 war of Independence? I dont think it is true and this was probably a game plan to create a divide between Gujjars and Jats by others who enjoyed the actual benefits after the first war of Indepence was crushed. Historical records shows that Biggest loosers in Western UP in 1857 war of Independence were Gujjars and Sayyads and biggest gainers were Baniyas and Khatris.
