Dear Ashok Harsana and all Gujjar brothers,
I wanted to share my feelings about some of the articles posted on this website. I see lot comparison being done by Gujjars with Jats. I read in a post where one Gujjar bhai proudly mentioned that a Gujjar MLA won election in Haryana by defeating Jat candidate. It sounds to me as he was more happy in defeating Jat candidate rather than the victory itself.
Some Gujjar bhai mentioned that Gujjars are able to counter Jat domination by having 3 MP’s in Western UP and now in this post again Gujjar students comparison is done with Jats student in Ch Charan Singh University without even knowing that current president of the University Kuldeep Ujjawal is a Jat from village Badoli, Distt Baraut I do not understand why gujjars have to prove their success by degrading Jats or defeating Jat community. Is Jat community a benchmark for Gujjars to consider themselves successful. I still do not believe why there is so much of hatred towards Jats. However, Jat is the only community who have always supported Gujjars in tough times. Jats have always worked towards the betterment of Gujjar community.
It was only the Jat community who supported Gujjars agitation for ST reservation. Ch Ajit Singh and Ch Tikait came openly in support of Gujjars. Ch Sahab Singh Verma was the man behind naming Gujjar Samrat road near noida. Ch Sahab was also the leader of Gujjars. I am sure all these people did not do things for Gujjars because they were scared or jealous of Gujjars. They did it for pure love and affection towards Gujjar community. When Rajesh Pilot (Great leader) died most of Jats went in complete shock and pain because Jats loved him. Than what has happened to young Gujjars that they always do anti Jat propaganda. Why there is so much of celebration when gujjars do well against Jats. Myself a Jat would want Gujjars to do well not only against Jats but against all communities and bring proud for India. But problem comes when you celebrate your success by degrading & completely ignoring achievements of the other community.
Let’s talk little bit about politics.
When people compare themselves with Jats they forget what Jats have been able to achieve politically. I see Gujjar community divided between different political parties and this has been major problem in the progress of the community. In Rajasthan Kirori Singh Bainsla fought election on the same BJP ticket who killed several innocent Gujjars. Sachin pilot is with congress. In Haryana prominent Gujjar leaders are also divided between BSP, congress and BJP. In Delhi again divided between Congress, BJP and BSP. In Western UP between, SP, BSP, BJP, Congress and RLD. This is the main reason Gujjars have not been able achieve what they could. Lets us talk about Jats. In Rajasthan Jats are governed by Jat Mahasabha and vote as per Mahasabha directs. That’s why they were able to get reservation in Rajasthan without a single bullet fired. Haryana and Punjab they are 25% of the population. They either support Akali, Congress or Chautala and always get a Jat CM. In Delhi Jats are giving (Sujjan Kumar) MP from last 3 times, this time his brother because Jats do tactical voting. However, gujjars are only happy by having MLA’s in Delhi. If Gujjars do tactical voting they can also have MP from Delhi. In Western UP Jats are united under RLD and have 5 MP’s. One of those MP is Gujjar, Mr Chauhan from Bijnore. Jats did not mind voting for Gujjar because they were looking for the bigger picture to become a power in Western UP . Even though Gujjars have 3 MP’s from Western UP. Still it is impossible to get something for the community because 2 MP’s are from BSP and 1 from RLD. BSP and RLD will never have same ideology.
Unity and Vision are the two key attributes of success.
Because of the unity of Jats under one leadership in Western UP, Jats were able to get Merrut Univ name changed to Ch Charan Singh Univ.. Congress named Lucknow airport in the name of Ch Charan Singh. If You travel from Agra to Muzzafarnagar you will see several statues of Ch Charan Singh. In Distt Bulandshahar there is a huge statue of Ch Charan Singh at Bhoor Choraha. I would like to know what Mayawati or any other political party have done for Gujjars in Western UP. By giving tickets to gujjars, Mayawati is just increasing her power and not doing anything for Gujjars. Tell me one place she has named after Gujjars. Why can’t she name the Jevar airport in the name of Samrat Mihir Bhoj. Why can’t she open a University in the name of Samrat Mihir Bhoj. She is spending Millions on her statue why can’t she spend small amount for Samrat Mihir Bhoj statue. The problem is not with Mayawati problem is with Gujjars. As long as they will vote for different political parties and not get united under one leadership they will be just used as a vote bank. Mayawati western UP ke Gujron ke kandhe per rakh kar bandook chala rahi hai. Gujjars should see the bigger picture. During the sugarcane price agitation Ch Ajit and Tikait were the main leader fighting for the price hike and in one day of agitation price went high. Not only Jat community but Gujjars were also benefitted with it. Where was Mayawati at that time.
Bheed aur kaum mein jo fark hota hai woh hai ki kaum ke paas sapna hota hai aur bheed ke paas koi sapna nahin hota.
Bheed ko Kaum banata hai neta, Kaum kabhie neta nahin banati, neta kaum ko peda karta hai.
Jaton ko kaum banaya Ch Charan singh ne, Jaton ne Charan Singh ko nahin banaya. Jaise ki Samrat Mihir Bhoj ne Gujjron ko kaum banaya. Gujjron ne Mihir Bhoj ko nahin banaya.
Unfortunately from last 50 year Gujjars could not have a national leader except Rajesh Pilot who could unite them under one umbrella, make them a kaum and they get their demands fulfilled. I read on this forum ke guron ka gujjar kaun and some names like Madan Bhaiya are talked about. I am surprised to see that even a criminal like Madan Bahiya name is discussed as a leader of such a great community. The argument that some gujjar criminals are criminals because they could not tolerate the injustice does not fit in with Madan Bhaiya. He became criminal by choice not by circumstances. He has been involved in killing of several gujjars like son of Siria pehelwan at his residence. He is married twice and his second wife is not even gujjar. He has made money for himself and still gets lots of money through extortion. He has been MLA from Khekra 3 times and the area is same as 10 yrs ago. Please do not consider him your leader. Only people like Sachin Pilot can be a true leader for not only Gujjars but also for masses. He is educated and honest person.
We gujjars and Jats have a problem that muscle and power is very intimidating for us. Hum log sharif aadmi ko kayar aur darpok samjathe hain aur dabang ko bahadur. Aur phir dabang ko vote dete hai. Roop Chaudhary (a gujjar) from Khekra a very good person and deserve to be an MLA from Khekra phir bhi Gujjar vote for Madan Bahiya.
Because of comments against Sarv Khap Haryana Jats considered Hooda as a soft leader and some of them voted for Chautala. Without even looking the kind of progress Hooda has given to Haryana. People like Madan Bhaiya and Chautala can never uplift our community. Jats who supported Chautala should be ashamed to see what chautala has done to the Ruchika murder case by supporting Rathore. There are so many cases againt Madan Bahiya as well. Apni community ke chakkar main humen andha nahin hone chahiye.
Please understand Dabang kabhi bahadur nahin hota. Dabang sirf kamzoor ko dabata hai. Bahadur hote hai Ruksana jaise jo dusron ke liye apni jaan ki baazi lagate hain. But unfortunately no one even considered her name as a leader.
I did not want to offend anybody. Purpose of my post was just to share my views in a positive manner. I have the deepest respect and love for Gujjars. However, I still feel if Gujjars look at the bigger picture of Indian politics rather than just Jats they will be more successful. We as common people should elect leaders who are honest and educated than only our children’s and community will be honest and educated. Hamen apni community ke pyaar main itna andha nahin hona chahiye ke galat ka bhi support Karen. I would love to vote for a Gujjar candidate from my constituency if he is honest and educated and can give good governance. By doing that I don’t think I will be betraying Jat community. I have right to think about the future of my family. Bahadur ki sabse badi pehchaan hoti hai sach ka saath dena. Aur agar who sach muhje gujjar main dekhega to main gujjar ko vote karunga. We all should love our community but always vote for the right leader without any discrimination.
