For instance Khatana and Harsana do not intermarry, they are called one and the same gotra (My grandpa claimed that Khatanas were an offshoot of Harsanas, but I dont agree to it as Khatana seems to be a larger and ancient group as compared to Harsana.)


And Vikal is not a gotra. Sri Ramchandra Vikal, UP's x deputy CM, was Boken by gotra but he used a title VIKAL after his name as "Suryakant tripathi used 'nirala' and Pandit Harivansh Rai used 'bachchan'. People of boken gotra started following the title same as Amitabh used bachchan.

Here we get a new gotra from Prahallad bhai's details. His mother's gotra is Leelu. Is it an offhsoot of Meelu??

I feel in this forum is not highligt the muslim gujjar heros like Chaudhry Rehmat Ali(inventor the word Pakistan), Ch. Ghulam Abbas(Founder of Muslim Conference, Quid e Kashmir), Major Tufail Shaheed (Nishan e haider) and others because they are muslims and pakistani. pleas do,t differentiate gujjars on the forum.

Hello Tahir Bhai,

We are really sorry if you found that we are differentiating on the basis of religion or nationality.

This might be a mistake from our end that we could not include the names and contributios of Pakistani Gujjars.

But you have to contribute yourself and start a thread regarding the famous Gujjars of pakistan as we have a very little knowledge about them.

Inder Kumar Gujral is not a gujjar and Gujjral means someone who originally belong to th Gujjarwal area. Most of the Gujral (as i know them) call themselves either punjabi or khatris.
