Dear Ashok, I thought it was a thread of only the Gujjar Gotras? In case that is true please move the last three posts to some other thread, of mixed racesince it will dilute the whole thread of the origin of Gujjar Gotras . Regards.

welcome Harsh ji and Azeem bhai,
Harsh Bhai and Azeem bhai, Munnan is actually another name for Moondan gujjars. Our respected brother AP singh must be knowing about this clan. You can ask him to shed some light over the origin and details of this surname.
And Harsh ji we will need more info about gantil Gujjars and the area they reside mostly. Toor is a another variation of Tomar or tanwar, they are also called Tuars. Tanwar Gujjars are the most powerful, furious and celebrated clan of Gujjars and are one of the main branches of gujjars from which many other subclans were originated like pratihars, chaps, parmars, solankis and many more. They are found in south Delhi and they are known to be the founders of Delhi city.
They were forced to migrate to haryana and Up from Delhi during the Moghul and britishperiod. They were the first to ignite the war of independence in delhi and captured the matcalfe house (parliament house of that time) for 12 days in 1857. They were later punished for the same and evey tanwar above 12 yrs of age was either hanged or expelled from Delhi by british forces.
Many Gujjars of this clan (delhi and nearby areas) were forced to call themselves Jaats or Rajputs due to the massacre. We find many jaats in south haryana with this surname who still remember their ancestry very well.
