This is Vijay. I hope you are doing well. I have been reading post from last couple of days at this forum. I could not resist myself after seeing the amount of ignorance some people have about certain issues especially in the area of politics and common sense.

First topic I would like to discuss here is about Land acquisition.

I completely reject this idea. Land acquisition is the worst thing can happen to any famer or community. I explain here.

A person or a community is more prosperous when they progress socially because if you are not socially progressive than economic prosperity have no importance. Social progress can only be achieved by education and if you are educated than nobody can stop you by achieving economic prosperity. However, if you are economically prosperous and not socially than you will lose all the wealth you have gained.

There are several farming communities being affected including Gujjar and Jats in NCR area. Unfortunately, Gujjars are the most affected community.

Now I will talk about the side effects of Land acquisition.

One of the most important affect is that Gujjars village culture is diminishing each and every day. Gujjar identity is very much attached to his life style which is Farming , cows, buffaloes, contact sports like wrestling and boxing and tractors. Now they are losing all these things, no farming left, no tractors and no contact sports. I am not against people using cell phone and driving cars. Even my kids uses them. Every person has a right to have good luxurious life but the issue is at what cost. Are these comforts so important that it is worthy to sell your ancestors land.

Jahan pehle sawan main naujawan kehton main kusti ladte thhe. Aaj naujawan Zym jate hain aur club main bouncer lagte hain. It is shown in Ravish ki report.
The reason you do not see lot of gujjars in sports because the village culture is diminishing. Kisano ki zameen chali gayi saath hi kustion ka culture bhi chala gaya.

Today NCR Gujjar youth knows the price of iPhone but they do not know the price of Sugarcane. The reason is that they do not have a farming land to grow sugarcane.

I would like to ask people who support land acquisition. Kya aap itne capable nahin thhe ke padh kar kuch ban kar apni mehnet ke paise se car, Ghar aur Mobile Phone kharid sakte. Prashant Batar is a classic eg: He is educated and see how close he was to win 5 Crore. He could have easily earn 1 core by selling his land but he chose a different path. He decided that he will study and achieve everything he wants in his life. He lost 5 core this time but I am confident he will earn money somewhere else because he is educated and have skills. That’s the point, success should come through education not by selling what you have. Today Prashant have education, job, money and also his farming land. But people who have sold their lands only have money.

Farming is a important part of Gujjar identity and if you loose this identity you will loose everything. Aaj bahut saare gujjar jinki zamme chali gayye woh apne haath main pasia leke ghoomte hain aur farming land kharidne ke liye muh maangi kimat dete hain. Hamare gaon main bhi aise hi kuch Gujjar greater noida main bisrakh aur palla gaon se aaye thhe. Woh apne dil ka haal batate hain aur kehte hain. Ki sab paisa bekar hai jo apne purkhon ki zamme thhi usme hal chalane ka jo maza thha uske samne paise ki koi kimat nahin. Lekin young Gujjar generation does not care about it. You guys loves to talk about Gujjar history but remember what you are doing today will be history for your kids and grand kids and they will be cursing you that you sold their precious ancestors land.

When the land is acquired new apartment and business complexes are built. Result of that new population migrate to the area and suddenly the population which is living there for centuries and dominate the area comes in minority. Just for your information Surender Nagar won only by 15 thousand votes and second was Sharma from BJP. Agar Noida aur greater noida main flats na bane hote aur naye log na aaye hote to Surender Nagar minimum 1 lakh votes se win karta. Wait for the time when greater Noida is fully occupied by new migrated population. No gujjar will be able to win election from Greater Noida. Surender Nagar winning by 15 thousand votes was signal of early warning not for happiness.

Lets now talk about Mayawati and Gujjars:

Mayawati only think about herself and she has no love for Gujjars. I can prove it right here. Tell me one thing unique mayawati has done for Gujjars. Has she names any district in Gujjars name, has she given special reservation for Gujjars in Govt jobs. Has she named Jevar Airport in Gujjars name, has she put any statue in Gujjar name. Nothing of that sort is done for Gujjars. If you think protecting you from police and helping you against thakur or Jats is a favour than my dear friend you are wrong. Kya aapne mamaywati ko issliye vote di thi ke woh aapko police se bachaye doosri community ke kihalf aapka saath de. Kya jab mayawati ka haath sar per nahin thha to gujjaron ka koi wajood nahin thha. Gujjar pehle bhi maze se rehte thhe aur mayawati ke bina bhi reh sakte hain. Lekin mayawati ne aapki soch ka fayda uthha kar apna kam karwa liya.

When we vote for a party we expect from the party create job for us, do development “not by taking our land”, give better future for our kids, maintain law and order. Lekin yeh sab toh aapko chahiye nahin.

Mayawati have exploited Gujjars and took away their lands. If she would have loved gujjars she should have implemented the land acquisition formula of Hooda in Haryana. Hooda govt provide compensation+ monthly salary for the farmers. The reason Hooda did that because he cares for the people who give him votes. Unfortunately Mayawati did not.

Kuch Log yahan per ye bhi sochte hain ki sipahi ki naukri bekar hai. Woh yeh bhool jaate hain ke mehnat ki ek roti apni zameen bechne se zyada badi hoti hai. I have a friend of mine and he is Gujjar from Disst Muzarfarnagar. He and I live in the same city in US. His father was constable in Delhi Police. His father worked hard and educated his kids. Now both his son’s are abroad one in UK and one in US. They have now bought more farming land in Muzarfanagar. The point is that job of a bus driver, constable, Inspector or an IAS is very imp for your life. Because it helps you grow socially, you look at things from a different prospective. You can differentiate between right and wrong. You get capable of shaping your future. Other thing I have noticed on this forum is that lot of derogatory words are used against some communities. This is not a good habit. Ek baar Arjun ne Karan ko soot putra keh kar pukara thha. Toh Krishna ne usse se kaha ki yeh mat bolo, aise bolna na hi viron ka dharma hai aur na hi sheli. Bahadur woh nahin hota jo apne aap ko bahadur kehta hai bahadur who hota hai jisse log bahadur kehte hain.

Thank you very much to teaching us. But you very well know that Gurjar Samaj has its own ideology which is spread in over 9 states of India. That is the thing that we were on Top and again we are coming on top of the world.

If in some place Gurjars have conflicts with other caste then it can not be think that whole Gurjars are against with that particular caste. That is their own problem and rest of community can not support till the real true or false picture come out.
Same election problem always come even in same caste.

We have our own rich Culture, Language, History and worship place (Pushkar-Brahma Temple). Other communities dont have these all.

Please understand that here on this board, the view of a particular user dont represent the views of whole Gurjar community. It may be his own thinking.

Gurjars are not followers of any particular political party or person, as we were in past. (and we loose the things because of it)
Our all non political Gurjar Mahasabha and other organisations always insist to people to participate in every political party and try to gain it.

We are innocent but not fool.

We are not selling our lands. But we also not kill our parents for the land, as other particular community do in Baghpat, Muzafarnagar and Baraut.

The majority of Joint families in india can be seen in Gurjars of (Gujarat, Maharastra, U.P., J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, M.P.) only.

Due to our rich culture the majority places & cities are in Gurjars name, Gurjari Ornaments, Gurjari Raag etc and we still enjoy the same in present life. Our every youth knows all these.

Talking of Gurjars of Delhi and noida is not the actual fact of Gurjar life.

Gurjars of Delhi and Noida are doing well and purchased the agriculture land in Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Haridwar, Kaithal and other part of haryana and himachal pradesh. Exceptions of people are always present, but these exceptions are very few.

Sau Acchai ke aage ek burai Bhari padti hai, Thats why you are looking only few bad exception.

Every person of any community or caste are rich..................it is impossible. So if Gurjar youths are doing job in Clubs as Bouncers, so what? Every land looser can not be a big farmer. Tumhare village mein sare crorepati hain to, let us know.

You better knows that Gurjars of Delhi and Noida are doing well in Real Estate, Transports and other Big business. Infrastructure is based on Gurjars.

Now we talk about politics.
No government has recognized Gurjar strength because of our education. Jat leadership misguided the political and represent western U.P. as Jat majority. But truth is coming out. Gurjars are far behind in education, and this is the big reason of our political backwardness.
Present U.P. Government has also its political agendas, in which it use the different communities to cash the people sentiments. BSP is plays pure caste politics like LokDal. So what she is doing wrong.

Mr. Ajit Singh represents Jats, whose total population share is 4%. But Mayavati represents Dalit whose population share is 21%, and she use this 21% with other majority share community.
This is the golden rule of BSP.

In western UP region Gurjars are in Majority after Muslims, and she is using Gurjar strength. and whats wrong? Gurjars are also enjoying the power which was far from them since 1000 years, after the last Gurjar King.

But the true fact is that Ms Mayavati very well know that Gurjars are blind trustable, hard worker and best administrator.

What other political parties gave to Gurjar community as per our population? Nothing.

Just read out for true picture .
In Rajasthan, Ms. Vasundhra Raje Scindhia and his son won the election b'coz of Gurjars. Gurjars are Trustable and strong for their commitments. In Jhalawad Gurjars are 18%, but Gurjars always full fill the promise. But they receive against their support.....................Bullets. This BJP is pure Jat party with RLD.

Now talk for Congress, They are people who honour the traitors.
What they did with Rajesh Pilot in CWC and congress presidential election, everybody knows. They manage to defeat Mr. Pilot by 1 Vote agaist the Ms. Sonia Gandhi.

Mr. Nehru always praised the Gurjar bravery and loyality towards the Country, but never did nothing.

What Congress did, Four times M.P. Mr. avtar Singh bhadana never gets the central Minister seat.

What these Parties do in election tickets? Nobody give the tickets to Gurjars. Why? because of our innocence. But after Rajasthan Agitation governments came to know that Royal Kshatriya Blood was cold in past, now become boiled.

But this not the fact that Gurjars are not enjoying in other parties. They are in BJP (Ch. hukum Singh Chauhan-Leader opposition-U.P., Madhu Gurjar, Mayor Meerut)

We 10.2 Crores Gurjars have our own mind to think good, own courage to take risk, own strength to become best warrior.

We dont need the guidence of others, nor the free consultaion.

Just keep your consultaion for your communities bad time.

Dear Friends,

Yesterday I saw a fight brook out between some of our mates and Mr Vijay when Mr Vijay wrote his personal views about some land acquisitions, Mayawati and some general talks.

In return some of our veterans took it personally and somewhere I felt these argument and counterarguments was completely uncalled for and tone of some post was anything but decent.

Personally, I did felt that what Mr Vijay wrote was close to truth hence bitter in taste and hard to digest. What he did wrong is that he selected a wrong forum to dispose is thoughts.
I will like to express here my views on what he wrote and some additional which I was thinking from some time but somehow didn’t expressed.

Land Acquisition:
As far as selling/not selling the parental land is concerned it’s a personal choice and it doesn’t do anything with caste or clan. If land in and around NCR belongs to mostly gurjars and they are getting some good deals due to soaring demands then better to leave it on them to go for it or refrain. And equally true is for the correctly utilizing that money afterwards. But my own view here is that it requires much more intelligence and foresightedness to use that money for benefit of the family, than people generally applies. Its very easy to get distracted and lure for the luxury that was never ever experienced even imagined before. Particularly for the young generation who see this huge but sudden money, tends to think that they are no less than a Prince and this money will last forever. Obviously, barring some exceptions. Its bitter but true that Merc, Audi, BMW with school dropout sitting in will not going to help us. Instead a Gurjar ka chora, shan se riding a well earned Hero Honda, backed by good education and a regular source of income (be it sipahi, fauji, doodhwala, or IT prof) will be more beneficial to a family, community and country. I am not advocating a MIG mentality. If one is destined to be a famed and rich he/she will be no matter what.

Politics:
I have also seen many many post here where people flaunt the names of past/present name of Gurjar MLAs and netas in each state with such a passion that I feel miserable. I am really impressed with this huge data that they keep. But I am from that school of thoughts that say that ‘Politicians and Politics is bull nuts’. It is not going to help the life of mine or anybody I know, if MLA of my area is a dalit or gurjar. Expect a handful of well-connects may take some benefit of to get a shifarish for a job. Commoners (Mango people) like me will just feel happy that my area MLA and I share a same cast. Full stop. Ironically, those well- connects are mostly well offs. Who had everything in their disposal that actually they should not require a favor of any kind. Any commoner, who had ever gone to see our beloved ‘neta ji’ and had asked for a favor can vouch my claim that he always get a cold shoulder (if lucky) otherwise just a lip service. I can vote to that neta ji for the whole life if he can remember your name even for a day. My view is to regard a person with his/her intelligence and what he/she can bring to the table.
Exuberating the past rich history of us gurjars is nice and necessary, but what next? Where we want to go/rise and most importantly how? By telling who should we support… BSP, CONG, BJP or how many MP/MLAs we have in Rajasthan assembly? Or who’s who is what? Come on … give a break.

Food for thoughts:

My view is utilize this forum is to have a platform where we can provide guidance to any Gurjar youth who ask for. (Can provide the same to any community also; if they care to shows a required respect). As we all know that we are just few hundred out here on this forum for whom internet is easily accessible. But real needy in not among us: the forum-registered people. He/she is out there on street. How can we bring a positive change in his/her life?

Please drop your views frankly even if you fully/partially disagree with me. But along with it please do write how you perceive this forum to bring our lacking behind community at par with so called forwards and even surpass them one day.

You forget that when we talk about politics, its not releted to street or mohalla politics, but the politics of state and national level. Without the politics where we are? you better know. Till date, our Gurjar community has not any leadership, like jats legend Mr. Chotu Ram, Devilal, Charan Singh and now Ajit Singh. These leaders made a special identity of Jats.

Here nothing is personal. We talk in general. Gurjar community is not a personal asset of any person and talking for Gurjar is not personal but collective.

But where we are? But people like you think it as Bull nuts. Politics dont give us the food but theidentity and pride to live.

The internet is 10 years old now. And within 5 years Gurjar community is connecting with it very fast. We understand the importance of media, thats why our young generation is working hard to produce evidence of our history in front of world.
No other caste will present your history. You will have to do your own.

I think you dont know the ground level work of Gurjar Organisations in india. But this work is unreachable to you and this media. But through this forum or others we can share our thoughts with each other.
First of all Please make time to contribution of your views and financial aid for community work and education to established Gurjar organisation like Gurjar sabha, Gurjar Mahasabha, Gurjar vikas Manch, Akhil Bhartiya Gurjar Forum etc. spread in every district of india.

Then you will better know the truth of our community hard work.
These present Gurjar leadership is not produced in one day. It is the result of hard work in their personal profession.

Gurjar community dont ask to do special work for caste, just do the best in your own work, Your best work will be the part to make this our great Gurjar Samaj more progressive and Great.

One more thing, its necessary us to rewrite our Golden Past repeatdly to recall and give the better feel to our young generation for Pride.


Gurjar Education Centre Chandigarh, Saharanpur, Jammu, Meerut, dadri are the few in which Gurjar dhan Kuber of Noida, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharastra have contributed for community services.

we are not here just for talking, every gurjar of this forum is contributing something for Gurjar community in terms of thoughts, views, services and finance.

We are rebuilding our community structure. We are much ahead in populations but far behind in politics, education from others.

But this is the begining, just feel pride being a Gurjar and do something importatnt to feel proud born in this great community.

Just look in you, what you have contributed to this Great Community.

That why I say that Politicians and Politics is a bull nuts. No MLA/MP/MLC fight the election to do good for the community. It all the self interest and charm of the kursi.

Mr Vijay, your post is oozing with a feeling that you thinks that Jat is superior to Gurjar. Which is unacceptable to us and definitely to me. See, you yourself can see in you detailed analysis of the demography of West UP, that its just a game of numbers. If we are less in numbers than Jats so what? It doesn’t gives you a right to impose any thing on us. No doubt that Jats have done commendable job in uplifting themselves in every sector of life and I appreciate that. But, at the same time you can’t stop others in doing the same for their community. Do you feel threatened? You should not be because we are not eating any of your pie. Or are we?

The Jats and gurjars are like China & India. They were somehow equal in their socio-economic status not a long time back. But recently they are ahead of us in development because they did really some good work. But like India, Gurjars are also progressing fast and trying best to leave them behind.

So better to stop this Jat Vs Gurjars right here. Its not going to give any of us any constructive outcome. We can share the ‘best practices’ (Mr Vijay you must have listened this term million times in US) only if you care. Otherwise we enough self dependent to find the best way out.

Sorry mate I don’t know your real name. Can I ask for it?
I fully agree to you that at present we don’t have a single leader who can say that he had a support of entire gurjars of India. Where as Jats, Yadavs etc had few from time to time. What do you think can be the reason? My view, it’s a combination of many small reasons.
a) We are still one of the least educated castes in India.
b) When the real time comes to show a unity, we divide ourselves between gurjars of NCR, Raj., West UP, east UP, MP…etc. I mean regional superiority (or inferiority for that matter) complex creeps in.
c) Today actually lack a real Dabang Neta who can see eye to eye with the contemporaries of other castes.
d) Last but definitely not the least, whenever selected; our own netas has not done the job up to the expectations. So we have lost the interest. We still feel happy to be the puppet of Maya, Mulayam or anyone who deceptively says I am you savior, please vote for hatti or cycle.

But friend I feel, pride or prestige of any community definitely doesn’t comes from politics, it comes from within every individual. I take pride in my caste, the work I do and the way I live despite the fact that I have never seen how a ballot paper or voting machine looks like. Pride and prestige comes by how others looks at us and think about us. Pride move to community to politics not the other way.

I don’t claim that I know every work that is done by gurjar organizations across India, but I do know certain organization and group of people who are doing well despite having limited resources. I still have the alarm clock gifted to me when I passed my 12th with 1st Div in 1997 at one of the functions of Gurjar Mahasabha. (it’s a different matter that it seldom show the correct time due to some defect ;D )

As you rightly said we can bring the change and pride in the whole community if we keep doing the best in our own work. What I want is that we should have more and more such people whose indirect contribution will bring the positive attitude in our own community and positive view about our community in the eyes of others.

We have come a long way, due to the labor done by our elders. But, still have a long way to go; I am happy that I am on this forum with you guys who now have to take the baton ahead. So, keep contributing and keep posting. And be happy.

Where we said that population is counted by more MP and MLA/MLC ?

if you are interested for caste population then refer to Government Ghazete of British and present time. The number were less than actual, cause was revolt by gurjar dominated villages. Most of gurjars hanged on tree and expelled from region. Then other caste were imported from Bhiwani, rohtak and hisar.............all are in government ghazette. Please refer that.


Just use your akal, what you are talking rubbish.

This is your misconception that we are behind of Ms Mayavati. Just read properly my post.

Be optimistic and positive. if our leaders are not doing well, then give them strong message by forming the community organisations. If their own caste will not support then how they will be recognized in others.

We are not loosers but tired with time, Now new energetic blood is coming to take challange and they will acheive the things which were impossible in past.
