Ashok ji ... i am still waiting for your reply.... honestly i m in dilemma about the caste of these above mentioned stars .. and the article that published in mumbai daily.... was looking forward for your intervention... but no reply ... please go through the link and let us know the truth... :-) thanks & regards VEEEEER Dear Brother Veer, This has been a much discussed topic on this board. Please see the thread below: ashokharsana.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=234It is almost clear to us all that Neither Akshay nor Arjun Rampal are Gurjars. Akshay is a punjabi khatri of Bhatiya clan and Arjun belongs to "Pal" clan (most probably belongs to cowherd or Gadariya community whose mother is a south Indian Christian). Both Abhijit Pradhan and Arun Nagar, who belong to bollywood have confirmed that these two stars have denied that they belong to Gujjar caste. Nothing is needed after this point as the stars have themselves denied this fact. BUT, I have a few sources who have spoken to Akshay in personal and confirmed that he belonged to Gujjar community. Now, you take it this way that if they themselves are denying to be Gujjars then why do we need to count them among our famous personalities? We already have so many great people from our community that we don't need to prove someone else to be a Gujjar or not. We have Vallabh Bhai Patel, Rajesh Pilot, Sachin Pilot, Mihir Bhoj, Nagabhatt, Prithviraj Chauhan, Panna Dhai, Meena Gujari, Jograj Panwar, King Vijay Singh, Vijay Singh Pathik, Gama Pehalwan, Kalua Gujjar, Gujjar singh Bagdi, Mata Gujari, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Kasana, Rehmat Ali Gorsi and this list can continue till miles. Apart from that, Two Gujjars are playing for our National Team. What else do u expect. Every year 4-5 Gujjars are being selected as IAS, IPS. Dozens of us are joining Police and civil jobs. Lots and Lots of political leaders re presently there who belong to our community ......and Lots and Lots are still to come forward. We, Gujjars were one of the great castes of India and we will regain our position and dignity in future as well. It might take some time but change is clearly evident. Wait for some time and you will have BIG BIG names to tell people (Even in Bollywood). Then you won't need to worry about the caste of Akshay and Arjun. Regards, Your Brother, Ashok Harsana

Akshay and arjun's caste doesn't make any difference .. that i know but i was bit curious about the news that published in DNA....because akshay kumar and arjun rampal were on the list with sachin pilot ,vallabh bhai patel and rajesh pilot .... so its not the caste but the NEWS which was bothering ..... and you mentioned "Prithviraj Chauhan" .... i thought he was a RAJPUT.... as mentioned in Wikipedia .. !!
thanks & Regards Veeeeer

Wiki articles are written by people like you and me. They can make mistakes and specially with the history books which we have been reading for last 100 years, wiki articles can not be 100% right.

Finally historians (who prepare syllabus for initial classes) have agreed upon this point and this is a great news guys. If people in India grow up reading about Gurjars as Kings then what else do we need? Why should we be worried about Wiki or other contradicted sources. Though I have contacted Wikipedia and sent them hundreds of sources, that tell a lot about Gurjars. Lets See...
