I dont know about Delhi high Court order but the Chauhans were surely Gujjars were one of the very powerful Fuedatory kings ( Samants) of Gujjar Pratihar Empire. The Gujjar Guhilots of Chittor, Gujjars Parmars of Dhara, Gujjar Chawras and Solankis of Patan, Gujjar Tanwars of Delhi, Gujjar Chandellas of Kalinjars, Gujjar Khatana of Kabul all were Gujjars. The Gujjar were the highest caste and all thr kings of India were chosen from them as per a Muslim scholar of 9th. century. The Gujjar Chahan started fighting for their independence in 954 AD and and that followed by others.
God Dev Narayan was born in 968 AD and workede for the unity of Gujjars and is regarded in very high esteem among Gujjars of all faith. His family remained faithful to Gujjar Pratihars since his maternal Uncle was ruling Malwa that time and dis not support the the people of his own clan the Chauhans. Later when the Gujjar Pratihars killed his father and 23 uncles in the battle, Beesal dev Chauhan, the ruler of Ajmer and the brother of his own grandfather did not support them. Later God Dev Narayan with the help of maternal uncle defeated the this small kingdom of Gujjar Pratihars but pardoned them for the overall unity of Gujjars. That is the reason he is regarded as God and had his teaching would have been followed by other Gujjars that time India would not have gone in the hands of foreigners and also the Gujjars in Rajsthan may not have fighting for reservation ST catagory.

www.jamestown.org/publications_details.php?volume_id=22&issue_id=1550&article_id=15708ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON SHEVARDNADZE FOILED. Georgia's Internal Affairs and State Security ministries announced yesterday the arrest of at least nine suspects in a conspiracy to assassinate President Eduard Shevardnadze. The authorities seized a cache of explosives and weapons, including mines, sniper rifles and grenade launchers. Also seized were magazine quality, 4-color propaganda leaflets (in post-Soviet countries usually considered an indication of external support). The detained suspects include Major-General Gujar Kurashvili, former commander of Georgia's land troops, and two ex-bodyguards of the former state security chief Igor Giorgadze. Most of those detained are said to be supporters of the late President Zviad Gamsakhurdia. Arrest warrants have been issued for additional suspects in the same plot, the latest in a series of assassination attempts against Shevardnadze. Both Giorgadze and the Zviadist faction involved are being harbored in Russia (Sakinform, Georgian Television, AP, Reuters, May 23).

Great Work Bhushan Ji,
I am realy impressed with this quality research. Further research is needed to clearly connect all this things in a row.
I spoke to a georgian friend named "Kety Gujaraidze" (where Gujaredge means "Child of a Gujjar" and they simply call themselves Gujar. His brother Plays for the National Georgian Soccer team. We had a very long chat and i was told that many gujjars are staying in Georgia. They are a pastoral tribe and are into the milk busniness. They were unaware of any Other gujar settlemetn apart from theirs. They said that they were proud to be Gujar. Gujar in georgian means Great Fighter.
After that his father came to India to know more about Gujjars.

MR.ASHOK HARSANA, ARE YOU SO MUCH BUSY YOU NOT EVEN HAVE TIME TO REPLY ONCE.Please write something about chauhan Gujjars and please also write some thing about rajasthan issue. Ohh Am so sorry my gorsi brother, I have collected a few very precious pieces of info about the origin of chauhans. You have to believe but this will tell the historian about the real origin of chauhans. Chauhans are the most celebrated Gujjar dynasty after the pratihars but historians havent worked out too much about them. Soon i will come up with a new website and there you will get all the info regarding the origin of chuahans. Regards Ashok Harsana

Gujjars, Huns and Mongols are only a few warrior races in the world who were great conquerers and named many places after their races.
Like Mongolia is named after the Mongols and the tribe of Babar ( The Mughals) was a derivative of this race, the Hungray is certainly named after Huns and (Hun- Giri, the mountains of Huns). The Great Gujjars named Georgia, Gujrat after the name of this great race. Many others like Ghor ( Named after the Gorse clan of Gujjars, Nangarhar ( presently Jalalabad district in Afghanistan), Bajaur district in Afghanistan named after their various sub clans.
Also some other places like Bhopal ( Named after the Great Bhoja of Mihir Bhoj Gurjar Pratihar), Mehruali, the capital city of Gujjar Tanwars is named after the Great Bhoja only as Mihir-awali.

Great job Bhusan, That means the Gujjars have conquered places upto Spain and it was the same route which was taken by Gujjars was followed by the Arab Muslim invaders when all the people up to Spain were converted to Muslim religion but in India it was the bulwark of Gurjar Pratihars who dominated them and did not allow to enter beyond Kabul.
It was only after the Gujjar Chauhans of sakambri asserted independence one of the earlier slave of Muslim empire could defeat Shahi Khatana ( Anand Pal and Jai pal Shahi Khatanas) and later looted each one of these independent Gujjar capitals, which became free from the Gujjar Pratihar Empire.
The People of Ghor were Hindus at the time of gaznavi who embraced Muslim religion later. It is believed that Chahman was born in the Gorse clan of Gujjar and thus Chauhan is a branch of Gorse Gujjars. Initially if anybody read the history carefully, the Chuahan of Delhi ( Which was taken from the Gujjar Tanwars after the fall of Gujjar Pratihar Empire) helped to pass through from the region ruled by them to attack on Gujarat on the Gujjar solanki king Mulraj and eight times Ghori was defeated by Gujjar Solankis of Patan Gujrat which the bard Chaund counted 16 times ( One time while going to Gujrat and once while returing after the defeat at the hand os Gujjar Solankis) when the Gujjar Chauhans would have killed Ghori but he was left alive. This proximity between Ghori and PrihviRaj Chauhan also gives a indication that Ghori was also of Gujjar origin.
Similar proximities between various gujjar Gotras can be seen even today. Like Gujjar Chawras, Gohils and Solankis are closer to each other. Chauhan Chechi and Ghorsi are closer to each other. Huns and bidhuris considers each others as brothers and dont intermarry within these gotras probably to avoid the marraige between the children of same forefathers.
