Dear Shahzada, I believe the Gorsi ( the rulers of Gor region, near Ajmer under Gujjar pratihar Emperors), Poswal ( the rulers of Pushkar area), And Chechis are the branch of Gujjar Chauhans. Mohil was another branch of Gujjar Chauhans and Mohils are called Meelus today. Multan is named after this clan of Gujjars as Mohil- Sthan) was their capital under Gujjar Pratihar Empire.
Gujjar Chauhans were one of the main fueadatory of Gujjar Pratihars among others like Gujjar Parmars, Gujjar Tanwars, Gujjar Chandels, Gujjar Solankis, Gujjars Guhila etc. etc.
These gotras are found in numbers among Gujjars today and there are historical records of 9th. century state that the Gujjars ( written as Jujaria) were the highest caste of that time and all the kings were chosen from them. Moreover the Gujjars Pratihars would not have made the people of any other group as their main fuedatory since those days the blood relations used to be most important factor for bravery and trustworthiness and faith towards the Gujjar Pratihar Emperors. Hence if this gotra exist among Gujjars there is no reason to believe otherwise.

Dear A.P.Singh, I always admire you for your knowledge with my friend Mazhar Gujjar. Please write more about Chauhans and read my previous questions again.I believe that Chauhan are Gujars but as you know in others written history they are not.Is chauhan a branch of Gurjar Pratihars? In Epigraphica Indica bhag-5 page 210-211 it is clearly written that when ghaznavi attacked at that time the king of Marwar were Chauhan Gurjars.Gopi Nath Sharma have written in RAJASTHAN KE ITHAS in chapter "rajpuuton ki utpatti" that pratihars, parmars, solangis, chauhans were all Gurjars.I also have read some where that there were three brother-in-laws(wife's brothers)namely Khainaas,Khande Rao & Dahima they were sons of Dhama raja of bayana. In Bayana there are still people living of Dahima subcaste who call themselves Gujjars.what kind of book is Epigraphica Indica and who is its writer. In which book it is written that Prithvi had united a khastrya force under the name of Gurjar Mandal.I have heard that at one time the Chauhan kingdom area was called Gujjarat. In which ancient stone inscription the Chauhans were written as Gurjars. You and Harsana please reply as I have asked upside.I want some more from you that was not enough because I want to proove them Gujjars in national news papers.

Dear Shahzada, God Dev Narayan widely worshipped by Gujjars and Non Gujjars in Rajasthan and Malwa was a Chauhan Gujjar The original kingdoms of Gujjar Chauhan were Sakambri and Bharuch, presently located in Gujrat state of India. There are three branches of Gujjars. Kushans ( called Kasana, Kushana and Kansana now a days), Loh ( Called Leva, Loh and Lor etc.).
The Kushans are said to be the descendents of Kush, the younger son of lord Rama. The Leva are said to be the descendents of Loh, the elder son of lord Rama. The Pratihars are siad to be the descendents of Laxmana, the younger brother of lord Rama.
The size of Gujjar empire was biggest during the priod of Kushan Empire and present day Geogia was part of it. The word Gurjara is written an Jujaria in persion language and Gerogia is Jujaria only with a different spelling.
It is a widely told story among Gujjars that the Gujjars were defeted by the Huns and thus the present day Georgia was separated from India (Undivided including present day India, pakistan and Afghanistan). It is also told by elders that Kushites, the actual rulers did not offer much resistance to Huns and Levas fought the war till the end and thus were defeated. The Kusites, after the defeat settled on the bank of river Khari, and thus also called Khari. Later Huns were defeated in India by Gujjar Pratihars during the reign of "Mihir Bhoja the Great" and were assimilated among Gujjars
Almost all the gotras among Gujjars are the branches of these three branches of Gujjars, i.e. Kushites, Loh and Pratihars.
God Dev Narayan was born in 968 AD in a Gujjar Chauhan family at a time when Gujjar Chauhan asserted independence from their Gujar pratihar overlords and wrorked for the unity of Gujjars. Mandal was the real brother of king Beesal Dev and Mandal Garh was built by him, which is still there near Bhilwara. Prithvi raj Chuhan was the last Gujjar king of this family as later rulers were not the direct children of the king, as written by Farishata.
Gorsi, Chechi, Poshwal must be the branches of Chauhans since they voluntarily offered their kingdoms to the Gujjar Chauhans of Sakambri, during their expansion of empire up to Ajmer.
The Gujjar Tanwars of Delhi and gujjar Chandellas of Kalinjar remained faithful to their Gujjar Pratihar overlords till the end of empire and the Chauhans were able to get of hold of Delhi when Prithvi raj Chauhan was adopted by his maternal grand father, a Gujjar tanwar king of Delhi.
The other kingdom of Gujjar Chauhans were Mohilsthan called Multan today after this celebrated Mohil ( also called Meelu today)gotra of Gujjars.
There is a possibilty that Chauhan are Kushites or Leva Gujjars and also there is possibilty the Chechanya is also named after this Chechi branch of Gujjar Chauhans, which was part of the Gujjar Empire at the time of Kushites.
You may read Annals and antiquities of Rajasthan written by Col Todd with a open vision since he has stolen many legends and historical facts of Gujjars and ascribed to others to fulfill their own purpose to prove that India was always ruled by foreigners and hence accept the Britishers as your new lords
At one point Col Todd also could not hide the fact that the Gujjars are the sons of Eshau ( Eshwaku, the ancestors of lord Rama) since probably he was an honest person but was forced to write different than the truth to serve the purpose of British regime.
