The following historical evidence is available about the Hepthalites Gujjars The Hepthal or Abdali must be variation of tHepthalites. The same branch of Gujjars is called Haotun in chinese literature. The Hun must be variation of Haotun. I have written earlier that this was one of main five principality of the Gujjars which were united and formed the Great Kasana empire later. The Huns who came along the main branch of Gujjars ( The Yuechi of chinese Annals) are a part of Gujjar today. The Group which came later in fifth century probably formed a different division. 1. Dadda the ruler of Avanti was also from the same Chap branch and hence the ruling family of Pratihars was simply chapas (eventually Tomar Huns) and there family name was salumbare as they hailed from the place called salumbar in Rajasthan. That also explains the name Mihir Bhoja (Mihir kul being the son of Tomaran). A few insciptions and edicts also imply their relation with hepthals (white huns).

Dear Sir Mr. Harsana. I am from Gojar / Gurjar tribe and hail from Pakistan. Can you share some historical material on Gurjars movement from the Cuacasian Georgian region to India in the ancient times. Thanks
