1. Ch. Rehmat Ali invented the name for the Muslim Majority area of the western part of India. He was founder of Pakistan National Movement in Great Britain. His pamphlet "Now or Never" to the Muslim Leaders the participants of round table comference in 1933 AD at London is historical document. Many books about his work have been written by the intellectuals of high repute.

2. Mian Muhammad Baksh considered to be one of the best Punjabi Poet. Author of Saif-ul-Maluk

3. Major Tufail Muhammad (shaheed) was granted the highest Military Award of Pakistan NISHAN-E-HAIDER.

Recently there was a good report on Gujars of Delhi namely "Gaon, Gotra and Gurjar" on NDTV in "RAVISH KI REPORT".....!
The Gujars of NCR should persue the national print / electronic media to present correct historical and present condition of Gujars..... !Their contribution to our nation i different fields......and so on.....!

Can I dare to repeat the basic spirit of this 'thread' in light of Common Wealth Games being held at New DELHI?

Where are the 1 crore strong Gujars when even the middle class rural girls of India are shining at the national horizon.....?

We have no locas standi even in traditional games like wrestling, athleticks, weight lifting......etc.

Should we not think seriously that when agriculture based communities such as Yadavs, Jats, Kurmi etc. and even Mali in the Northern India have been able to make good progress in every sphere of life, why presence of Gujars is a dream be it politics, education, higher goverment services, business, media.....and even sports....??

I want ask one more Question to Delhi NCR Gurjars who claim they are dominent in Delhi NCR.

1. How may Players in CWG 2010, and Is there any medal win by Gurjar Boy or Girl??.. I think answer is "None"..

Jats and other communities are 100 years ahead from us, and we need to accept it.

When I talk about present it includes the period of 60 years i.e. 1947 to 2007 where every citizen of this country was free to choose education and job of his choice, was free to participate in the political system, was free to do any business…….and so on !

During this phase of democratic India, agriculture based communities such as Yadavs, Jats, Kurmi etc. and even Mali in the Northern India have been able to make good progress in every sphere of life.

But think for a moment seriously and compare Gujars with these communities in today’s context…!

I do accept that I have limited exposure and knowledge of Gujars residing in the NCR (Delhi and its surrounding area), Haryana and Western Uttar-Pradesh.

Will anybody provide me following information so that I can re-consider my opinion and strategy to discuss at this social platform and also get involved in ‘Jugaali of our golden past’………………?

•How many Gujars have qualified Civil Services Examination in the last 60 years from the area highlighted above?

•How many IAS and IPS officers are posted in the national capital i.e. the power centre of the country belonging to Gujar community whose domicile is of the area mentioned above?

•How many Gujars have been appointed Governor of states, vice chancellor of Universities, member of Union Public Service and State Service Commissions in the last 60 years?

•How many judges have been appointed in the Supreme Court, High courts and district courts belonging to Gujar community in the last 60 years?

•How many professors are there in Delhi University, JNU and other universities belonging to Gujar community?

•How many DOCTORS are there in All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) or other hospitals of NCR belonging to Gujar community?

•How many STUDENTS are there in IIT, Delhi belonging to Gujar community?

•How many STUDENTS are there in Indian Institute of Management belonging to Gujar community?

*How many GIRLS have taken professional degree like MBBS, Engineering, MBA, LLB in the last 60 years or presently studying for the same?

•How many MANUFACTURING UNITS and industries (excluding dairy) have been established by Gujars in the area highlighted above?

•How many Member of Parliament have been elected by Gujars in the area highlighted above?

•How many Gujars are there in the Rajya-sabha?

The questionnaire may be endless but it will again be a futile exercise because the answer of most of the questions is known to everybody living in present world…..!

I know my dear friends that the truth is always sour that is why we avoid talking in present context and do ‘Jugaali’ of a bygone era…………!

The idea is not to discourage any one…….but we should accept reality and do efforts to increase our representation and participation in modern India ………!

And the best way of achieving the goal is education and awareness…..!

I agree with the above posts that being dominant and having a separate identity requires certain achievements by a community consistently.

Being dominant does not mean that population is more or money is more. Dominance requires that other community accept your domination on their own and they accept you as their leader.

I agree that NCR Gurjar have more money but that money is acquired after loosing the land and loosing exclusive Gurjar regions. Greater Noida, Noida, Faridabad EasT delhi South Delhi were Gurjar regions but because of rapid migration from other regions now the GURJAR are in a minority in their own villages. Thier farm lands have been acquired and they do not have any farm work and also their villages identity is vanishing. Their villages are being surrounded by high rise buildings and the money acquired from loosing land is lost in 25-30 years for a mojority of the persons.

Only a few have utilised the money well and these are very successful people .

In my view Gurjar should stop giving their land to the private builders.

The other thing is regarding NCR Gurjar is that NCR Gurjar is far far more fortunate in getting the facililities for education, sports, job opportunities etc than his counter part in remote areas of UP, Rajasthan . It is the duty of NCR Gurjar to lead the other Gurjar but lot of work is still to be done.
