Mr. Ashok Harsana, (1) punjabi Gujjars still hold a strong tradition that ord Karisna was a Gujjar. In India he is considerd only as Yadav. There yadav vanshi subcastes even Yadav subcaste still found among the Gujjars of Rajasthn and M.P. Are Yadav not Gujjars historically? If Yadav are Gujjars and Rashtrakuts are Yadav than Rashtrakuts may also be Gujjars. Please write your clear opinion. (2) In India some Gujjars used Rathore as a subcaste. Are they of Rathi subaste now using Rathore as alternative or Ratore is also a gujjar subcaste but I have never listened about that subcaste. (3)There are some members of Ghosi community migrated from delhi area they always tries to proove them as Gujjar but no body accept them as GUJJAR. Are they Gujjar too .Some body have told me that every ghosi is not a Gujjar.Who are they?

Mr.A.P.Singh, Wha you think Rastakuts were Gujjars or not? Dear Gujjar, I would suggest you to use your personal name, otherwise people will consider me as Non-Gujjar, since I have to address you as Mr. Gujjar. Regarding you questions "The Palas" and Rashtrakutas were not Gujjars obviously as reflected from all the historical records available today. I think the term " Gadaria" is actually Kataria mentioned in Persion historical records where they placed below Brahmins and Subkufria or Shukrias is reffered for Gujjars which were the highest caste in India and all the kings of India like Gujjar Pratihars, Gujjar Chauhans, Gujjar Solankis,Gujjar Parmars, Gujjar Tanwars, Gujjar Bhattis, Gujjar Nagaras, Gujjar Dors ( Called (Dedhars or Dedha or Dodhi) etc. etc. were Gujjars. The descendents of Palas are Gadarias and Malhar Rao Holker belonged to that particular tribe. Also all the Gadarias ( Katarias) use Pala as their surname today. There is no historical evidence to show that the Palas had ever associated by the Arab invaders. However there are plenty of suggestive information available that they were not only associate of Arab invaders but also were their vassals. They are also a different tribe than Gujjars and Rashtrakutas both. If you have any other evidence available with you to prove that Rashtrakuts were Gujjars please come out with the same here instead of testing my knowledge?

Mr.A.P.Singh, Wha you think Rastakuts were Gujjars or not? There were editing mistakes in my earlier post and are being corrected as follows: The descendents of Palas are called Gadarias today and Malhar Rao Holker belonged to that particular tribe. Also now a days all the Gadarias ( Katarias) use Pala as their surname and that is not without any reason behind it.There is no historical evidence to show that the Palas had ever associated with the Arab invaders. However there are plenty of suggestive information available that they ( Rashtrakutas) were not only associate of Arab invaders but also were their vassals. They ( The Palas) are also a different tribe than Gujjars and Rashtrakutas both. I Kasanas are reffered as Gasana in Buddhist records. Chokkar are called Gakkars, which proves that Gakkars are a Gujjar tribe, which were isolated at some point of time from the main stock. Similarly Kataria ( Khstriya) words is being called as Gadaria today.

Hi Ravi This is ashok chhokker from panipat haryana i am very happy with your thinking and initiative ......panchayat system is super one if we follow it properly now a days people moves to court in every matter's of life either it may be internal or external but system don't know all these feeling, custom tradition and principles of any society . some people who gave more preference to court rule's than our social principles r the enemy of blood . also such kind of people feel shame on saying gujjar. This same gotra and different cast marriage is not good for our future also aisa hone par wo gujjar wali bat kaha rah jayegi hamare samaj me... I wanna say that people should not forget their custom tradition culture and from where they belong .

Friends, Ravi ji thank you very much for interaction with biradari people on different issues. It is a very good idea........ carry on. If you can, contact me. Let me introduce first. I belong to village Mandori near Palwal, Haryana. I have my house in Sector-10, Gurgaon and I am in Central Govt Service at New Delhi. I am Bhadana and my village's main gotra is Bhadana and a few gotra such as Bhati, Laadi, Nagar, Mukul houses (one or two houses each gotra) are there. I feel these gotra (other than Bhadana) should not marriage a Bhadana girl irrespective of any area. These gotra people of my village have a respect that Bhadana girl is their sister. It is a matter of sentiments and izzat of the village. And, they should honour this tradition. I mean I am not in agreement with Shri Ravi Kasana in case of Chithera village i.e. different gotras, but girl where she is comming is a village of her gotra. It should not be happened. I think, it is enough to write to understand the sentiments of community. It is my personal opinion. Friends, we should emphasis on education and make aware of the its relevance, particularly higher education, lest we leg behind the backwards. Hari Chand Bhadana mob-09013097079
